Went to long with starter! Shit the bed again It's not about Baker. It's about our usually reliable 3B having 3 errors. That last one started the big inning.

I agree BS in part but I still think we went to many pitches with Baker.
Do you know is this one loss and out?

Might of went too long with Baker and offense went stagnant after a respectable first. That said for a MAC school is unfortunately really darn good and it's going to be hard for any team to take them out Sunday. CMU has won 14 straight MAC games. What CMU did tonight is what they're doing to the whole conference.

Is this double elimination? Yes. Winner of BSU/NIU rematch plays CMU in the finals

Our “Game 3’s” are pitching by committee. Better turn your ball caps around and turn them inside out.

To win the tournament, BSU needs to win 3 games in a row, in less than 27 hours.
We have to get by NIU, then beat CMU twice. Coming out of the loser's bracket is always tough.

What CMU did tonight is what they're doing to the whole conference. They've won 18 straight overall. My frustration (and I'm sure Maloney's) is not that we lost, but how we lost. Lots of unnecessary errors and sloppy play that led to most if not all of their runs. Baker took the loss with zero earned runs. How often do you see that?

CMU is rolling, but they are out of quality pitching unless Leatherman goes again. We have a few capable pitchers depending on which version of them shows up. Having said that, I don't see us or NIU beating CMU twice. We had our shot last night to flip this tourney and blew it with sloppy play.

The Cubs did it to win the World Series and now it is our turn. Three in a row and to the big dance we go. I love baseball, especially when the Cards are playing. I'll be at Wrigley in August for two games. Three in a row, LET'S GO!

david aren't you in Goshen? If so, Wrigley is a lot closer than Cincinnati. You might think about changing teams!!!!!
