You should be more worried we do not have QB on the field as we enter the 2nd half of this game.
Not one that knows the playbook.

The projections say by April over 400K may have died.
That will be in 1 year about the same number of deaths as in WWII.
Scoff at that but 300K by inauguration is going to happen unless something changes for the better. Right now every day more, not less
Don Jr. says deaths "almost nothing."
Don Sr. says nobody will be talking about Covid in 4 days. I don't think so.

It's a pandemic, one we only see every hundred or so years. They are extremely difficult to plan for, because each pandemic spreads differently, plus only a portion of what we knew about the 1918 pandemic is helpful in today's world. This is a very unique situation and difficult to plan against. Sounds like you are saying that because each new case may differ, you should ignore all previous cases and best theory about how diseases spread and how to respond? How is it then that Europe and other developed countries followed the accepted wisdom and did better?
Of course it is hard. That's why we had a plan prepared in advance. A plan prepared in advance based on best information available, but ignored. Trump didn't have to come up with a new plan, just follow accepted wisdom. Why did he choose to ignore it?
Perhaps the management team was so bad they didn't know about it? Perhaps they chose not to? Perhaps they threw out everything the previous administration gave them? Perhaps Trump simply does not believe in science, and went with his gut.
But textbooks in the future will use this as a case study on how NOT to do it.
The plan the Biden/Harris have put forward to address the Covid-19 pandemic is almost identical to the plan that is in place. The major difference is a national mandate on masks (which will never work) and "a change in rhetoric." I haven't researched it, but I don't think most viruses react negatively to "a change in rhetoric." It's a pandemic, and it sucks.

It is not true masks are required universally. Or that a rule is enforced where they are required.
Look at the link above to see the impact on projected deaths.
In Iowa recently half the counties enforced masking, other half did not.
Any guess where results much better?
I believe Joe also promises to listen to the scientists who might have other good ideAs.

It will help. Best we can do.
Why do less?
I do not want a shutdown for a month at Christmas...

Other than that, dictating the minutiae of every individual’s every action is necessary and proper though.

I tested positive for the virus earlier this week. I started feeling as if I had a nasty sinus infection on Monday, October 19th. I had lots of congestion with post nasal drip, cough due to sinus drainage, low grade fever reaching a high or 100.6 and general malaise. I can tell you that I wore a mask everywhere as well as followed strict social distancing measures. We have yet through contact tracing figured out where I may have gotten the virus. After a week of being home and not showing improvement, went to my Dr. on a Monday in which he prescribed me antibiotic for a sinus infection and had me tested for COVID.
My results came back on Wednesday. I broke my fever on Tuesday evening and have been fever free for over 72 hrs now. I have been told I can go back to work on Monday but I am staying away a couple of more days as my assistant has severe Lupus and I do not want to risk making her sick. Now, the virus has had an impact on my family. My wife runs an Assistant Living Facility and they had 15 cases. Good news is that they did not have a fatality.
As for me, i have worked hard over the last year to get back to some semblance of being in shape. I was up to 30,000 steps a day and had lost about 45 pounds. My a1c had dropped to normal ranges and I generally felt great. That was a couple of weeks ago. I can tell you that I am having some difficulty getting started again. I get winded just helping out around the house right now and my general stamina is not great. I am not a very good at being ill as I would rather tough it out than miss any work, etc. I cannot stand sitting around. I would call this illness a step up from the normal flu and I can already see that I will not be running a marathon anytime soon.
The virus is for real but I also can tell you that you can follow every mandate available and still get it. I am prof of that. FYI, neither my wife nor my youngest living at home son have tested positive for the Virus. It is just little ole me.

Getting in shape might have saved your life! Wish I had been doing better at that.
The issue with mandates is whether the other people follow the mandate, not just you. You did your part, may have saved somebody else in the days you were pre symptomatic or early with symptoms.
Get well!

Interesting article which may be relevant to political attitudes. We wouldn't be around if we were not able to cooperate with one another on a large scale.
Of course it depends on what kind of monkey you are how you look at any given situation. In the above article when they say the female of the species is a civilizing influence apparently.

I think the strangest thing about this virus is just how different it is for everyone.. At one point I had an antibody test and my doctor said I had likely had had Corona. I remember being sick back in February and for me it was like a very bad cold and fever. A couple times I was short if breath and I was so dammed tired. It only lasted a couple days but I was wore out for a couple weeks. My mom had it and it damn near killed her. My dad tired with cold like symptons.. Kroger is going to start having anti body tests for anyone for 25 bucks. It will be interesting to see if they track the results

The other odd thing we have no idea about is how it works long term.
Could confer immunity or partial immunity. Could be everybody shows up with lung or heart damage down the road.
Best bet is it is like flu it comes back every year. We could need booster shots or new vaccine forever. And vaccines are never 100%.
If 50% we'd need some other mitigation.
Masks every year for flu season. At least early on in season or if you have symptoms.
You think we're sick of this now...geez. I'll be an alcoholic in about 3 years.

Look on the bright side, if Biden mandates a nation-wide lockdown starting in late January, maybe we can all get access to Hunter Biden's Pornhub account. www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/10/huge-breaking-exclusive-hunter-biden-pornhub-account-uploaded-personal-porn-including-family-members/Here's the key summation paragraph at the end of the article: "Why would the Biden family use Hunter as their bag man in their pay-to-play scheme? Hunter was an animal and a mess. He admittedly did drugs. He was with seedy people in seedy places yet the family did all they could to cover it all up. This tells you all you need to know about Joe Biden’s judgment. Joe Biden should never come close to the White House ever again." That should keep us entertained. Of course I would prefer to watch Ivanka Trump's, but she doesn't seem to have one.

It shows just how unlikely it is that they used him in that way.
We know Hunter is a mess, the Bidens have known that better than anybody. There has been no cover up, his story has been out of the bag for years. Joe Biden has publicly acknowledged his son has been a mess. NOBODY would use him as you suggest.
The election is not about who is more corrupt and self dealing, whose family has bootstrapped their career on family wealth and influence, is iit Trump or Biden's son. If it was it would be lost for Trump.
Give it up. Donald Trump has a longer history of bad behavior and shady deals than Hunter Biden likely will ever have. Seems proud of much of his scandalous behavior. And has provably engaged in cover up of it. When not bragging about it anyway...
