It's bad internetiquette to post a link without a sentence about the content of the linked article. Yeah. Whenever someone posts a random link I never click on it. Once you get routed to lemon party or tub girl once you are scarred for life. Edited link above.
It was a google news link, not likely porno. Although for those getting news mostly from Trump's twitter feed, Fox, Newsmax or conspiracy sites, the NYT may seem like porn.

News doesn’t exist anymore... it’s just opinions fighting to see who can blow better.... ultimately neither of them win because both sides are just sucking... and not reaping the benefit...

News doesn’t exist anymore... it’s just opinions fighting to see who can blow better.... ultimately neither of them win because both sides are just sucking... and not reaping the benefit... Looking at the major cable news outlets there is news early in the evening, but opinion takes over on both after 6:30 or 7. I watch all three major cable outlets, and CNN seems to avoid opinion reasonably well a little longer.
Looking at MSNBC vs FOX, I see both loaded to the gills with opinion. CNN later in the evening.
On actually reporting factual news, the greatest problem in my mind is the very real pandemic. I have to give higher marks to MSNBC and CNN who report (probably too much) actual facts. Give poor marks to FOX for virtually ignoring pandemic news.
While MSNBC and CNN did NOT report "election fraud" news as much, I am sorry but the facts indicate that was a big political story but not a story with a lot of factual content. Court cases WERE reported on those outlets, the filing reported on all outlets, but again results often ignored broadly on FOX. At least after 7.
While obviously both networks have political motivation, the pandemic was real and was a news story OUTSIDE its political implications. People are dying in record numbers this month and FOX still fails to cover that story and I do not understand that.
The election fraud allegations were news, but you rarely see FOX mention that literally every court case has failed and not much about how mainstream GOP figures are either ignoring the claims or actually criticizing them.. There is an explanation about how election law actually works, but you see instead most of the coverage being allegations and fringe theories championed by political operatives.

They did well but as the story explains the politics and pandemic fatigue and the dense LA population led to crisis.
You can blame the state government for it's half measures, reopening too early, failing to crack down more strictly on the holidays, as hard as that would have been. And of course the Federal Government has been MIA from the start.
Created the perfect storm for the virus to spread.

The first rule of broadcasting is "know your audience."

The first rule of broadcasting is "know your audience." That is right which means a large audience (right and left) doesn't want to hear facts that diverge from their belief.
My gripe is that if it is really news and factual, not opinion and comment, you should give them a dose of what they don't want to see or not not call it news. Call it comment. Rush Limbaugh for a long time labelled himself an entertainer and commentator, and I enjoyed much of his content in that over the top vein, but when your audience starts to miss the distinction, what do you do?

Chris Cuomo, Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, Sean Hannity, the list goes on. I wouldn't call ANY of them journalists.

I grew up in Indy where we had 3 daily newspapers, the Star in morning. News and Times in evening. All had news.
The Star and News were Pulliam papers and pretty conservative editorial policy. The Times a Hearst paper I think. More liberal.
All reported the same stories by and large. Cable has brought not just difference in comment, but a lot of difference in content.
There was some of that in the papers, how a headline worded, some choice in purely political coverage, a candidate getting more press coverage.
Nothing like this.
And from my viewing CNN more world news and more news in the comment shows. Fewer extreme guests and wild fringe sources used.

What did Trump do today to win war against Covid?

I totally agree with you its not going away this year or anytime soon. I do think you will hear less about after the election but it will deff still be discussed. As far as me being sure I have no idea other than what I read on WTHR that said Indiana will be getting dosages of a covid vaccine in November. I am not a big fan of the guy but Im not going to spin it. He said Vaccine in November other media members said no way not until at least January probably later. Its november and there is a vaccine.. Thats pretty cut and dry It's interesting how we were thinking 2 months ago. What we see now seems worse than worst case pessimistic view then. Not it turns out cut and dry. Not really surprising Trump did incompetent job distributing it. Or made much exaggerated claim about it. Disappointing still. How do so many put so much faith in him. Trump's not even blaming anybody. Just ignoring it. Let's see if at his big patriotic election protest rally he says anything about actually doing the job he seems to regret losing so much.

You realize that Trump will be out in 2 weeks, right?
You're beating a dead horse. After January 20, COVID will not be the top story. It'll be Vegas betting odds on when Joe keels over.

If Joe does keel over from the Herculean task of cleaning up the mess left, he'll at least die trying to do his job. Actually working.
Doubt he has much time for golf or tweeting.
If all that happens he at least has a young smart vigorous VP who will be able to continue the job.

I just did a spit-take all over my screen, thanks for that. "Who do I have to screw to get a job around here?" - Kamala Harris

I wasn't sure you would agree with me.
But I doubt Kamala will rally armed BLM to invade the Capital and interfere with Congress.
So she has a very low bar to improve on the current President.
GOP Senators should move to censor Trump.
