00 are you ever going to make the distinction between legal and illegal immigrants ? Yes there is a shortage of immigrants, the legal variety. I swear you are just a child.

The law is an ass on immigration right now. Way too little allowed, impossible to enforce, and harming the economy. See Japan for a lesson on restrictive policy.
Legal immigration isn't solving the problem illustrated in the link above. Not to mention agriculture, construction and other employment historically using productive illegal immigrants.
If you support expansion of immigration and protection for existing immigrants and their native born families who are productive we can agree on that.
Long term sons and daughters of ALL immigrants will be a huge plus.

Get it through your f--king head, no one has a problem with legal immigration. You are just dodging the issues raised in the post above.
First, that's not really true. Much of the immigration that the right asks to curtail is completely legal asylum seeking.
And you need to get it through your head that our legal immigration laws need to be changed to allow much of the immigration now not legal.
And until that is done, we're going to need illegal immigration.

You really are a child. First you create a straw-man argument, then you attempt to cover your idiocy with something equally preposterous. You are without any doubt HUMAN GARBAGE......

So you just don't believe we have a shrinking labor force as boomers retire and the rate of population replacement is low?
Or what?
You think there will be a magical replacement event?

An interesting video out of England from 4 days ago explaining the apparent differences between Delta and Omicron. www.youtube.com/watch?v=84XMFVcLScw&t=1226sUnfortunately it seems to save at the end of the video, so if you wish to listen to it you'll need to rewind to the beginning. The highlights are whereas Delta makes it all the way into the lung tissue, Omicron seems to stop in the bronchus and thus doesn't do as much damage. Also, Omicron replicates at a 70x rate to Delta, explaining why it's so much more transmissible.

'Splain please. We need immigrants and harsh immigration policy seems to prevent needed immigration. We are going to need larger educated workforce in the future, but don't want to look ahead and welcome families who would solve that problem as well as the short term numbers we need?
But you don't see the need to change that law?
Or is that you just can't bring yourself to agree with me?

An interesting video out of England...The highlights are whereas Delta makes it all the way into the lung tissue, Omicron seems to stop in the bronchus and thus doesn't do as much damage. Also, Omicron replicates at a 70x rate to Delta, explaining why it's so much more transmissible. There are plenty of mainstream reliable sources that describe the possible difference in virus behavior. You will get better information without the questionable theorizing there: www.cnet.com/health/medical/is-omicron-really-less-severe-than-delta-what-we-know-today/www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/12/15/1064597592/a-tantalizing-clue-to-why-omicron-is-spreading-so-quicklyNo need to go to the nice old guy who is pushing anti-vax theories and ivermectin. Even: www.cnbc.com/2021/12/23/omicron-variant-has-lower-risk-of-hospitalization-studies-suggest.htmlThere are numerous reasons why that transmission rate is so troublesome. The most important things you will find in other sources include: 1. The threat here is short term that we swamp the hospital systems. Even if 80% less likely to go into the hospital, that 70X transmission problem will likely mean the US hospitals are swamped with serious cases, and death rate may be higher than normal in that population. This bug is going to literally spread like wildfire. Already showing that. 2. scientists aren't quite sure how this combination of factors will apply to the USA. Unlike England with higher vax rate, and South Africa with MUCH higher previous rate of infection, we have large numbers of people not vaccinated and how they respond to infection is not clear. Especially since those who do have severe infections are harder to treat. www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-03829-0 3. There is scientific consensus that vaccination is still the best response if we cannot get everyone into a KN95, N95 or other high efficiency masks. Seems unlikely. Stay off your anti vax sites if you want the whole picture of the risks we face short term. Looks like quite a bit of danger in January and February. Longer term questions also www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/dec/23/omicron-covid-19-long-haulerLonger term also, vaccination is still the best way to safely give people some immune system priming to withstand this variant and other variants. Probably requiring boosters and maybe a new vaccine that is targeted at broader range of variants. Stay tuned on that.

What was Joe Biden's big solution to Omicron? Send out 500 million free test kits for the holidays. On the surface, it sounds reasonable. Families could test before getting together for holiday celebrations. But after the big announcement, we discover the US government hasn't even placed the order! The text kits will not be available until sometime next year. The Administration says by the end of January. I'm guessing more like March. They forgot to order the test kits before making the announcement! These guys are completely incompetent. Wasn't that part of the election pitch? The Biden Administration would be the "professionals" to replace Trump? Rather these guys are the "clown squad". Maybe it can all be explained by the VP Harris' confession that they didn't see the variants coming. sports.yahoo.com/kamala-harris-says-biden-administration-064310669.htmlThen there's the little bit about over $100 billion in pandemic funds being stolen. apnews.com/article/coronavirus-pandemic-health-pandemics-us-secret-service-9d5c43814ef2c1ffb45c2a6f4e13faa9?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_medium=AP&utm_source=TwitterThe bulk of it has been stolen by organized crime groups. In fact, organized crime groups from all over the world have targeted the Joe Biden Administration's haphazard shoveling of money out the Federal door.

You should be attacking the researchers out of Hong Kong, not the messenger. I thought he gave an excellent presentation of their work. There was nothing about anti-vax in his presentation. In fact he mentioned the very item as you did above about the higher rates being a potential problem.

You know when things are getting bad when even State Television (CNN) starts turning on you. www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-reporter-biden-interview-performance-confusedQuoting the CNN Reporter: "Repeatedly throughout this interview … President Biden seems confused and was confusing the half a billion tests that they’ve ordered with a half a billion pills. And, of course, pills were in the news today with the Pfizer approval of the anti-viral, so he corrected himself, but that was one thing that stuck out to me," Zeleny said after host Wolf Blitzer played a clip of the interview. "But then simply this administration, and the president leading the charge here, really not accepting any responsibility at all for this lack of testing," Zeleny added. "We’ve seen these images across the country, long lines, just the inability to get tests. And yes, omicron came on very quickly here, but it has been almost a month since Thanksgiving where they knew this was coming."
