That sure is a great way to treat your students. I would use that article if I had to recruit against the Crimson Tide.

Professors are in a tough spot. They want students to know if they were exposed in a class, but the privacy of the ill student is a concern as well. The HIPAA argument is void, since that only applies to health professionals.
Still, a fine line to walk.

It's the administration that isn't in a tough spot though, they're just being fuckwits. Any person who tests positive, an email should immediately go to every student in every on-campus class that individual was in saying "A member of your Tech 101 class has tested positive for COVID-19. Please monitor your health over the coming days and if you feel any symptoms, come to the health clinic to be tested." Instead of sweeping it under the rug like school administrators seem to be trying to do across the country.

There are a bunch of employees dedicating some of their time every week to that. But the organization of it has been... let's just say "lacking".

Has BSU's organizational skills ever not been lacking?

Apparently the university has other plans to make up lost dollars.
A friend of mine got a parking ticket for parking in the wrong lot. Remember when they were 20 bucks? Now they're a hundred.
ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for a parking ticket. I haven't gotten a ticket in a long time, so I don't know if that just went up this year, or if it's crept up over the past several years, but that's just greedy and excessive.

That and outrageous fee to get a sticker where you have a place to park. Yellow is now just a hunting license where the spots are few, inconvenient, and are taken early.
Master plan is to force everyone to park in remote green lots and bus. Might as well call Uber... walk to work.

They use a camera system now, so you have to park with your plate out.
I've heard the same plan as 00. They're trying to squeeze out all cars from central campus. There was a plan years ago to close off McKinley to vehicles, but the city wouldn't allow it. There would be no way to get emergency vehicles to some areas. That, and I'm sure the city wanted some kind of bribe.

You should go into regional stand-up comedy with material like that.
