Dude has done more social media community engagement in the last day than Whit did in 9 years... I would guess he had a good scouting report on what we lacked, and what the administration wanted.
Now if he can get a good staff together, with recruiting first priority he's off to a good start.
If he gets a decent roster together and ata minimum get a tough defense, cut turnovers, and get more shooting on the floor too, he's going to be a success!

Posing by interstate signs is amusing and all, but I'll reserve my excitement until I see some additions of talent to the roster...possibly including our own players currently in the portal.

Might have been an itemized list on the job description posting and subsequent interview Also looks like he was targeted with a box of BSU garb for the internet journey. Appears he flew commercial thru the Indianapolis terminal. Hope he didn't have to rent his own car due to budget constraints |

I would assume he has now had contact with Sparks and Sellars. So he probably knows what's up and what he now needs to do. Seems to me that would have been his first priority. Assuming the other guys are good to go, whether he thinks so may be a different story. Hopefully we hear something soon.

Well guys and gals, Lewis wouldn't have been my choice but here we go with another assistant from a better known basketball school. When all is said and done we have not had success with these type of guys. Maybe Lewis will be different with Indiana and midwest ties. I certainly hope so. Talk is cheap but recruits that play hard are are not...So good luck to Coach Lewis and Co. I hope to cheer with you at the helm for years to come. Go Cardinals Go

Go Cardinals Go I definitely understand what you're saying since BSU has hired multiple power 5 assistants even though Lewis has absolutely grown on me the last 4 days with his enthusiasm. I preferred a coach aith lower level head coaching experience myself to go with someone completely different than Whitford and Thompson who were P5 assistants. I do like that Lewis has a very different personality than Taylor and Whitford. BSU has had a country club atmosphere for well over a decade. At the end of the day regardless if Lewis was/wasn't our top choice let's hope extensions he receives are based on legitimate results not "he needs an extension for recruiting" excuses (like the 3 Whitford extensions which were all excuse driven decisions, oof). |
