The seven team bracket always seemed weird. 2 teams get a real break, seeded 1 and 2. 2 have an extra play in. Wonder why they just don't take 8 teams...

Looks like a likely rematch with Hawaii in semifinal. Assume we'll see them at full-strength this time.

Just spent some time looking at UCLA and Hawaii websites. Both of the those teams very young, especially compared to BSU, which is senior dominated.
Hawaii's lost 5 times this year. Twice too BSU. Twice to Long Beach.
Hawaii's leading attackers this year actually played in those early matches against BSU. Their setter did not. The two attackers who were missing are playing now and are third and fourth on the team in kills. Seems like in recent matches there's quite a bit of diversity in who they set.

I dont even think it matters.. Whoever you play it's going to be a hard ass match.. Look at it this way we get hang a final four banner

Do you want a 2-week break at this point or do you just want to play?
I guess the good thing is they had a 2-week break midway through the conference season and then had that little road trip out east where they beat NJIT and Princeton, so they've dealt with something similar already this season.

Penn State has got to be shaking their head 🤷♂️ THREE top teams all had to lose. And the committee had to value the two West coast teams more.
Easy to see how a team might have a let down, look ahead to the next opponent, or just plain have a bad day. SO likely to survive it as #2 team in the country.
Long Beach not only survives it but gets the top seed...

Great question but it’s the same way for every team in the tournament unless you are playing the play in match next Sunday. |

Opening round matches will be streamed on Pac-12.com. The semifinals will be streamed on NCAA.com and the final will be televised on ESPN2.
