If it were a straight “he didnt do it” dismissal I could see the reinstatement, but if it is just being plea bargained down to a misdemeanor I think EMU should take a harder line.

Not too difficult to understand why he could get a plea deal.

I'll bet if he had brought an illegal gun on the EMU campus (which of course he will), they'd sing a different tune.

After leading most of the second half, Eastern Michigan came-up a bit short 83 to 88. Bates had 30 points on 12-19 shooting (3-6 from 3-point) Farrakhan 19 points on 7-14 shooting (1-2 from 3-point). They didn't have an answer for Michigan's 7'1" C, Dickenson who had 31 points.
Bates is going to be a match-up nightmare for anyone in the MAC.

He’s got a high school body, but an NBA game. He & Farrakhan form a solid 1-2 punch. They will be a force in the MAC.

Regardless on how he got to EMU, he is the real deal. Very good ball skills. They will be a force in the MAC. BTW, I certainly hope none of that officiating crew was MAC. Horrible.

He’d have to be a one and done there, wouldn’t he?

EMU down 32 to Bradley tonight. EMU lost by 28, 61 to 89 Bates' stat line wasn't too bad; 33 minutes 20 points on 6-14 FG's (3-7 from 3-point). Farrakhan was the one who sucked. Only played 25 minutes before fouling-out. Only scored 6 points on 3-10 shooting (0-1 from 3-point), only 3 assists on 3 turnovers.
