We might be favored in 2-3 games this season. I did not see enough good to move my win total above my predicted 5 if anything It might have dropped to 4 It was a bit worse than I expected. The first 35 seconds brutal. After that nothing really good, except while we were blown out, we kept playing hard. Probably no reason to think we know much more about our prospects now than we did before kickoff. |

One thing I did love about Paddock was he does not fuck around. He gets rid of the ball quick and it’s not always option 1 there is no holding it too long a taking a sack. Now you can’t bring throwing picks but that helps the line. We also only saw a couple of those horizontal quick outs which is ok. We saw about 10 a game last year. Jackson and really all the receivers were able to get open down the field

At one point tonight the announcers said mike neu and staff say paddock is the best passer they have had since they have been here. If that’s the case why has not been playing did he become that this off-season? Was it coach speak?

Waiting on an Uber for 30 minutes, I heard "Fuck Ball State" and "Get Your Ass Home" several dozen times in 30 minutes. One passive aggressive dick says, "Hey, Nice game." Takes three steps and says, "Oh, scoreboard." Always a young dude not willing to stop and say it. |

If you want to be upset, check out McGaughy's numbers for CMU today. Oh my...6 catches 126 yards and 2 TDs against a top 15 team. I get we have a strong WR room but every time McGaughy was on the field he was a TD waiting to happen. Not finding a way for him to play more than half our snaps is a travesty. Watch him be first team All Mac and just rick roll us when we play them. |

He did get us a championship and a bowl win. I do like how Paddock gets the ball out and looks downfield. Get the run game going and maybe we’ve got something. |

This game was absolutely pathetic. What a waste of time to even travel down for the game. In no way did I think we had a chance to win but it would have been nice to see an effort or even see the coaches set the kids up for success. Going for it on 4th down numerous times and giving Tennessee solid field position each time.
Starting the game off with the “trick” play was a complete joke and essentially set the tone for the rest of the game. Zero effort from the coaching staff, players laughing on the sideline while they are getting smoked.
It is going to be a long season, 3 wins tops for us.
And to those talking about how ill behaved Tennessee fans. There were a handful of BSU fans acting like complete assholes…dancing in the faces of UT fans and putting their ass right in UT fans faces, really wish the UT fan beat his ass for doing that.

The second kid transferred from IU so I’m guessing Neu just wanted to give him a shot in a game. He clearly got his approach steps messed and that caused him to totally shank the punt. Might be his only punt all season.

The best part of last night from my perspective was all three of our wideouts had 5 catches and nine different players caught a pass. Paddock was pretty good given his lack of past PT and considering the atmosphere and venue. The pass protection was adequate but the run blocking was not good enough.
Defensively, our pass coverage was soft and we had some really bad reads that gave Hooker easy running room. Not sure how we didn't shadow him more as a runner.
Like many others have stated, I hope we had no significant injuries and can come into the WMU game clean. Steele needs 20 carries and 100 yards and I think we can win.

This game should have been a little closer. The pylon fumble and avoiding that first play pick would have helped. Still a rout, but better. I liked the effort. Playing a superior opponent that plays at that tempo is a really difficult task. How can you prepare for that kind of tempo with a QB who is that good?
That being said, not having Martin hurt a bit as well.I'm more optimistic to get to 6 now than before.
