imills...One does not know who gives a rats ass about the football program either until you investigate. Ask...be nice, what can we do for you if you help us out? Maybe some free ticket at midfield. Maybe free parking and some beers...who knows? Maybe all these options have been looked at, or maybe not. Does Coach Neu have a radio mid week radio show? Does he travel to the dorms to generate some student interest? All I am saying is think outside the box and imagine what is possible. I'm not sure anything you're talking about is actually "thinking outside the box." Seems like this type of stuff has been rolled out as suggestions for years. I'd find it hard to believe that only you and I and a few others on this board have thought of such things. So my conclusion would be that those in power either don't want to do it/don't think it's worth doing, have attempted to do it and their efforts have been thwarted, or maybe they are doing it at whatever level they can.

Up 31-0 in the 4th. Why is Paddock still playing? Wouldn't want to give any sugar to backups who bust their butt all week Also wouldn't want to prepare a back-up in case Paddock gets hurt later in the year. Why eliminate the thrill of a new QB taking his first game-time snaps against say a Miami (Ohio) or Eastern Michigan later this year in a must win game.

You guys can get excited say good game what ever you like. Bottom line fcs school using their 4th string qb, missing two running backs and two receivers not to mention their center.
Bottom line is play like we did today and we will not win another game

So a 31-0 score might be something to revel in if ...
Offensively, we had actually dominated instead of just wearing them down. If we had jumped on them early and kept the pedal to the floor for at least a half, maybe leading 28-0 at half instead of 14-0. If, after leading by 28 at half, we then felt confident enough in where our team is to put in some back-ups and had enough confidence in them to not screw things up. Offensively, if we had done that, I would feel pretty good about today.
Defensively, if we weren't playing against a FCS team starting it's fourth-string QB and missing other top skill position players, I'd be a lot more impressed with a shutout.

We covered the spread by 10 and shut out the opponent. Gotta take what we get. Of course we’d do it in a disappointing way, but the end result is the best we can hope for.

So this was a big recruiting weekend right? So if you were a recruit at today's game, what would you have been impressed by?
1. Our dominating 31-0 victory. 2. Our ability to wear down a undermanned FCS opponent. 3. Our coaches' unwillingness to play second- and third-stringers in a blowout, leading you to believe that there must be absolutely no depth on this team and you can step right in and play. 4. Our coaches' unwillingness to play second- and third-stringers in a blowout, leading you to believe that you might get a Rudy-type moment by the time you're a fifth-year senior.

We got a major break with Murray at backup Qb being not even an naia level qb. Did we decide to not attempt a pass rush this season? A very dissatisfying dominant win. But alreast it’s a win.

Today we reverted to the Riley Neal offense.. The one we hated so much. As it did for Riley it produced stats that looked alright to good but rarely resulted in quality wins

That’s where quite a few of our staff came from and we play like it.

Murray state had no qb. They had nothing. But we still looked really bad in the first half. Paddock was not sharp and we couldn’t run the ball in the first half. The stats look much better than what we saw in person. A decent team woulda drilled us today.

Don’t trust a stat you read… I will say still like the use of tight ends. If you want a great individual performance. Nic jones was really good

This game does nothing to change my mind about the ceiling or floor of this team. It’s a game we won 31-0 and as a fan, something to be happy about.

I do not understand Neu’s unwillingness to throw it in the middle of the field. The WR’s end up having to make these high risk/high reward catches. Paddock is……serviceable.
