Joel is gone. That is the new play by play guy, Mick Tidrow. He sounds similar to Joel.

With all due respect to Joel, the new guy is an improvement in my opinion. He's straightforward and leaves out a lot of the fluff that Joel was in love with, i.e. describing how a player's long hair is flowing in the wind, etc. I want the play-by-play for a college football game, not a chapter from a Danielle Steel novel. |

JP really noted his total dislike of NIU - have to agree. He was mad as hell and ready for the fight! Corrected. I guess it was him. He *really* does not like them. Maybe he remembers John Richardson dancing around our sideline looking for the stalk last year. I try not to be a dick but I did get some special satisfaction from him missing a couple FGs this year after that BS last year. |
