Doesn’t change the fact that Whit won 4 out of last 5 Even a blind squirrel can find a nut.

Maybe but 4 out of 5 hurts if you’re Lewis
Terrible debut in my view in first REAL game

Maybe but 4 out of 5 hurts if you’re Lewis I think the Coach could give a shit about Whit. He is more concerned about what Half-Wit left him to rebuild with. By today's evidence Coach has his work cut out for him.

I was hoping 19 turnovers were a thing of the past. Obviously not.
Still wonder why Cleary didn't play. An 8 man rotation this early in the season is a bit odd. Guess Lewis doesn't think he has much depth on his roster.

This is very disappointing. I expected the Cards to play like they really wanted to be on the court and somehow, some way find a way to win. From the start of the game they looked as though they would rather be elsewhere. To their credit, they did seem more engaged in actually playing in the second half, but every time they were able to cut into the lead, they would turn the ball over, or make a very bad decision on the court. Hopefully they will improve. I'm happy Boogie is back in a Cardinal uniform.
Go Cards!

4 of last 5 won by Whit over ISU! Just saying. Are there some really longing for the glory days of James Whitford? 😂🤦♂️

Totally agree with Ruffled Feathers! Lewis has plenty in the cupboard; don’t bring that excuse in my house! Sparks, Coleman, Jacobs, Pearson, Windham, etc. Bum too, he should be energized with a new coach and better players! Only Boogie and Sparks showed up; Sparks didn’t have his best game but still had the effort. The rest of the team would have been better to stay in Muncie! How can your entire team not have passion in your first real game against a rival? ?? Swen, to answer your question no, but didn’t you expect a better effort?

I agree that we came out and played kind of flat in the first half. Lots of standing around. I am also miffed about the number of unforced turnovers we had. Lots of work to do by all of the Cardinals.

Did not watch any of the game, but followed the online box score sporadically. It looked from that perspective that Coleman came out with 5 quick TO's and missing all his shots and ISU jumped to a double figure lead. Then Coleman quit turning it over and started hitting shots and BSU cut into the lead but was not able to get over the hump. I don't see that Sparks going 6-11 at the line was an important factor - if he hits two more his FT shooting becomes pretty good and we still lose by 10. In fact I see little other than Coleman's performance completely dictating BSU's fortunes.
Windham and Bumbalough - two starters with combined 2 points on 9 shot attempts...can't have that shit and expect to win games.
It's disturbing to hear some say there was a lack of enthusiasm or focus. A coach either has the quality of imparting enthusiasm, energy and focus to a team or he doesnt. That's not something easily learned or developed. If you cant have your team ready to play with the excitement of the first real game...and against an in-state semi-rival...then what are you going to do taking your team to Mt.Plesant or DeKalb in late January after a 2 game losing streak?

The lack of enthusiasm was in the first half IMO.

But, I ask you how do you have a lack of enthusiasm in any half let alone the first half against a rival?
I’m not picking on you just seems absurd

4 of last 5 won by Whit over ISU! Just saying. If he had that record in the MAC tourney, he would still be here

The number of baskets ISU got from driving inside was hard to believe. ISU shot 50% only because of all their lay ups. I did not feel ISU was exceptionally quick which leads me to believe our defense is exceptionally poor. Let's see what we have in a month.

Not really sure what you guys expected but this is the same group of guys that could not shoot last year. Yea we added Coleman who did his thing but just like last year when you only have 1 guy hitting shots your not going win. It’s also the same group who turned it over bunch and missed free throws. Also the same group who struggled to close out on three point shooters. You have to let Lewis get his type of players to ultimately play the game he wants. It’s not going to happen this year or maybe even next. If by year three we are still having this convo then we should be really concerned
