Coleman had 8 assists tonight. Bum's tech was a cheap "chicken shit" call IMO. If one of their coaches grabbed Bum then the MAC should look at that ASAP!

Some things you could only see if yiu were there. At some point everyone of our players stopped and just looked around and soaked it in. The best was Luke he stopped and just looked around fir 5-10 seconds. He had a grin from ear to ear. The crowd let him know too had to be the moment of his college life. Myrne Thomas also was checking it out. You could read his face and it said where was this when I was here. The student section chanting traiter was also A plus. Brady Sallee grabbing the MIC and asking for the crowd to come out and see the women was also a good moment. Me going at it with an obnoxiously drunk K state and Him getting ejected. pre game My son giving Carry some good in fun Hell and Carry actually being a decent dude and playfully talking back

I hate MAC refs.Kent board giving our team zero credit. They say we get home cookin. They're fools. Refs sucked both ways tonight. I guess the KSU fanbase  missed the game here a few years ago where the crew flat-out stole a game for them. Coach Grunk (who's not exactly a hothead) had to be restrained from going after one of them. Hope they enjoy that six hour bus ride back to that matchbox they call a gym in the armpit of Ohio. |

It’s been said already but this was the best crowd and atmosphere since 2000. William Jefferson Clinton was dunking cigars at the White House the last time we were this good and fun to watch.
Sellers explosion to start the second half turned the game. Who knows what happens if he doesn’t play like Michael Jordan in that five minute stretch. We go from down 1 to up 12 in a blink and Kent couldn’t get us to wilt for the last 15.
Bumbalough deserves a ton of credit too. He goes from 35 minute guy last year to the scrap heap this season and then steps up tonight in the biggest game in eons. Well done kid.
We all know this but Kent is truly so easy to hate but guess what. So was Ball State in the 29-3 and 26-7 seasons. We were brash cocky and killers. Kent is not as good as those teams and they’re thuggy but man they are freaking loaded with talent. They’re tenth guy probably starts for the mid level MAC teams. Senderoff recruits his ass off and they play hard and tough. We had to be ready tonight or they would have rolled us. The stripes smacked them hard in the first 10 minutes and it took them out of their game but they still smothered our guards in the first half. Again Sellers was otherworldly in the second and that shut the door.
If we can’t get a monster crowd next Friday then what will? Toledo is damn goood and it’s going to be another war. If you live within a 6 hour drive then get your ass here. If it’s anything like tonight, you’ll be talking about it ten years from now. Go you mighty f*cking CARDINALS!!!

He was phenomenal at the start of that half. He is so athletic and fun to watch. Jacobs also played well in that half.

ok Drunk Kent fan story. About 2 minutes into the game Two Drunk Kent fans Stagger down and and sit in the two seats in front and to right of me. I know whos seats they belong too its an elderly man and wife. They wait till everyone is seated to come down cause it takes them forever to get down the steps. I tap the the guy on the shoulder and tell him the owners of those seats are coming and he will need to move. He told me fuck you and fuck them I drove 5 hours to get here. I calmy said I dont give a damn how far you drove and it escalated rather quickly. The cop who guards the visitors bench comes over about 30 seconds into it and pulls them out. Just snother reason for me to hate Kent

Don't think the #1 seed is that "life or death" slot for this year. #2 or #3 would be fine. That #1 seed against #8 will almost be like a bye. If the tournament was today, the #8 would be Central Michigan who got crushed tonight by Buffalo 63 to 35. Reggie Bass for C. Michigan didn't play due to injury. If he's out an extended period, C. Michigan might not hang on to 8th place. The #8 seed could then fall to 3 teams, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, or Miami (Ohio) who only have 4 conference wins each. #5 seed is Ohio who are really hot right now; 6 game wining streak. They appear pretty lock-in to 5th place, 2 games behind Akron/Ball State and 2 games ahead of 6th place Buffalo/Northern Illinois. Whoever is the 4th seed will get to play them. I would like to avoid that match-up. Probably don't want to be the #4 seed playing #5. The potential #6 and #7 seeds, Buffalo and Northern Illinois, each have 7-8 records. I would prefer to be the seed, but it #2 or #3, that plays Northern Illinois instead of Buffalo. Regardless, it's sure a lot more fun thinking about all of this compared to the last 9 years. |
