Some things you could only see if yiu were there. At some point everyone of our players stopped and just looked around and soaked it in. The best was Luke he stopped and just looked around fir 5-10 seconds. He had a grin from ear to ear. The crowd let him know too had to be the moment of his college life. Myrne Thomas also was checking it out. You could read his face and it said where was this when I was here. The student section chanting traiter was also A plus. Brady Sallee grabbing the MIC and asking for the crowd to come out and see the women was also a good moment. Me going at it with an obnoxiously drunk K state and Him getting ejected. pre game My son giving Carry some good in fun Hell and Carry actually being a decent dude and playfully talking back I'll bet it was the free throw heckler in the black and white coat. |

Was able to watch the post game press conference. Lewis brought Sellers & Bumbalough with him. I know there has been sporadic comments on these threads about concerns of us being able to keep Sellers. I watched Sellers whenever Coach was talking & he was usually nodding in agreement. Especially when Coach talked about easing up their practices before WMU & he will not make that mistake again. That this team wants to be pushed. My take is Sellers really likes playing for Lewis. I’ll be shocked if he even enters the portal. I noticed that as well. Same from Luke. Coach has given Luke props on multiple occasions for keeping a good attitude through his changed role. I don’t see any of our guys leaving unless they’re getting money offers at a blue blood. |

A 12 point win over Kent due to a 12 point advantage in made free throws - just as we all predicted.
Never made me want to come to games: "you need to come and support the team", and similar attempted guilt trips.
Makes me want to come to games: "Electric atmosphere", "crowd went nuts on a made three", "students were crazy", etc. etc.

This is the most enthusiasm about a basketball game I have witnessed in 20 years. Let us see if it can be maintained. Congrats to the Cardinals.

Great to see that kind of sentiment from the players. It was a fantastic environment for everyone, but it had to be exciting for them. |

I was at the game and the number one thing I saw from our players was confidence. They played with great confidence in the first half even though they had only 6 or 7 made field goals. They obviously came out in the second half with tremendous confidence with that big spurt to open the second half. And throughout the second half they stayed confident even when Kent would make a little run a couple of times and narrow the gap to 6 points. Wow what a great win, tremendous play from BSU!!

Something tells me we will be better prepared.
No game is guaranteed.
I like our odds there.
Akron on the road looks very hard.
Toledo should be another offensive shootout, they are explosive mostly high scoring games.
MAC is headed for some dramatic games last two weeks.

we got the best eastern has tge first game. Bates you never know he drop 40 or barely get 10. Let him get his but be sure to stop the others. We allowed a third option to also play out of his mind which is why we had problems

Had to watch the game again but on TV. Still loved the outcome! The TV did nothing to transmit the noise or solidarity of that crowd like being there.
I too think we will be better prepared for the EMU game, and I hope we can still have a good crowd for the Toledo fracas. Please God, no injuries!
