I only wanted to know the time not the results. Thank you good news is you can watch if you cant make it. Spring game is fun, it's an event. I like to see the die hard fans and it's small scale enough you can kind of get close to some of what's going on.
OTOH, it's hard to watch, a lot of player rotation, and not a lot of us really know what is going on with competition and what the coaches want to accomplish, or even know who the players are and where they are on the depth chart. Coaches experiment and often don't reveal their hand all that much anyway, I guess.
I love that it can be recorded, will very likely want to look back at plays and players, especially after those who know what the hell was going on, break it down.

yep its always a cluster depending on the format. IMO what you should watch is The QB's Should Be Kelly and Hatcher getting Most snaps. Also look number 13 semonza and see where and if he gets snaps if its more than one series thats going to tell you he is already passing Blazek and Cobb. Secondly WR I have no idea there we dont have much on paper unless we are going to rely on true freshman who are not here yet. I guess look for 82 magwood and Nick presley cant remember his number.. Thirdly look at corners and see whos out there we gotta replace both.
Oline and dline are also critical to our success but thats really hard to evaluate unless its obvious like d line getting blown or oline allowing someone in backfield everytime
RB is Cooper guess you can look at 2nd and third in
Id also look at what plays we are running and who with. Im 99% sure we are going two QBS this year. Hatcher is going to end up starting and Kelly is the gadget/rpo guy. Not sure I like that but it could work if they dont make it obvious. If its not disguised its not going to work as D will just key on Kelly

Yeah, another well reasoned, forward thinking bsu policy. Folks showing displeasure in the YouTube comments. But, maybe because it’s not even a game, just a practice? “Spring game” has been a misnomer since Neu took over.
Meanwhile you’ll see sec spring games on the sec network…..

A regular Spring game could jump start fan momentum for the fall. Expectations, hope could start to build and might stimulate more season ticket sales. Example of conversations might include which QB looked great or bad. same fro running backs etc. Ball State overall hasn't gotten the concept that college sports are in the entertainment business. Ther was for a long time a ban on advertisements being displayed but ESPN and Manscape shattered that ban.

Now, if it’s NCAA policy to not show a live “practice” since it wasn’t a game format then bsu needs to say that.

Quick update from spring event as usual its hard to tell from these types of things. Qbs Kelly Hatcher and Semonza are the three. Blazek and Cobb are not involved. Hatcher has a pretty ball and maybe better touch/placement. Kelly just has it every drill and scenario Kelly had ended in points he threw the only touchdowns and his other two opps ended in field goals. He also ran the RPO and had a couple nice runs. Not sure how it will end but Kelly has to be used in some capacity. Rbs as thought its Cooper, Pemberton and Barfield. oline looked healthy but line play on both sides just to hard to tell from today. Dbs again we played alot Jordan Coleman got alot of calls. Lbs Coll out with injury heard rsfresh Caden Johnson made several plays. Kicker was 5/8 with one of the misses from 55
All in all I left feeling pretty good about what I saw. Ive left some spring games just feeling dejected in the past but Im more optomistic after todays

Any comment about WRs? I assume Magwood will finally get some playing time. We are thin for sure and need some help. Newcomber Gillie had several catches Magwood had a few Austin Hill a couple. Looked like Nick presley was out with Injury. Biggest longest catch was from RB pemberton on a 42 yard wheel route from kelly. Austin Holts had the other td on a nice throw and sliding catch from kelly |

When we had the BSUFans website and covered the spring game back in the Brady Hoke days, Brady was very restrictive in what we could release. Anything we released couldn't show formations (offense or defensive) and had to be so zoomed in you couldn't really see any plays. |
