Seriously I could see Sparks playing for Micah Shrewsberry the new coach at Notre Dame. If Sparks was close to Whitford then I see Shrewsberry having more of buddy relationship with his players than possibly Lewis. He stays close to home and gets to play in the ACC and probably starts right away! If I were Sparks that is where's I'd be going. Penn State's players looked like they had a hell of a lot of fun and you can't beat a degree from ND. Actually if I were Sparks I'd be staying at BSU. Right? ND would be a great place. and, Right!? |

We always bring up Payne and McCurdy when we’re discussing our standard for toughness. We’ve had some tough guards over the years also, ie Jamie Mathews and Scott Nichols to name but two.

I think that there is actually some overlap between the group "players who are tough", and the group "players who don't really like to have obscenities screamed in their face". Whether or not this is relevant to this thread, I have no way of knowing. This. I don't know how many players would want to be called an f....g p...y in public, much less in a game. I didn't agree with a lot of what Whit did, but I've been to his practices and he wasn't soft on the guys that I could see. He gave a crap about them. I mean, damn, I was in Muncie when Trey found Zach and saw all of the mental health initiatives after that. How does that not change you as a coach? Sparks doesnt strike me as soft at all. This narrative about guys wanting to be coddled may be true, but whos to tell? |

Unless Woodson brings in another big with Sparks, Sparks will play. Might not start over the 5 star kid, but he will play.
