Here's what's obviously going to happen: 1. Hatcher plays all year and we finish with 3 wins. 2. Kelly sees the writing on the wall about Semonza and transfers to FIU or FAU, where's he's all conference. 3. Semonza steps in and lights it up for a year. 4. We all root for Semonza with tears in our eyes while he tears it up after transferring to UCLA. Why does this sound so incredibly true Because it is. |

This offseason has proven to be wild.. Semonza is right there and could steal this starting gig. Now I think its suicidal and detrimental to throw him out there vs KY and GA. Over a year ago I sent some videos to cardfan and we both agreed this our guy. Whatever IT is this kid has it bunches. If IT can beat out a 6th year senior as a true freshman do you just roll with. Ive seen enough to say and agree that talent wise today its a coin flip but Semonza has been better but he is going to do freshman things like play really awesome and then throw that freshman pick. If Camp has been this close why even bother with Hatcher why not give it all too Semonza. Live and Die with youth or get near the same results with the old gunslinger Kellys packages will not change based on above. He just has not been allowed to throw 1. The two-deep next week is going to be very interesting. 2. If my job is on the line, I’m going with the veteran thrower not a gunslinging freshman. 3. I really feel for Kelly. Whatever he was told to stay I’m pretty sure ‘we’re not going to let you throw’ wasn’t in the conversation. |

So what are the odds one of these 3 guys rallys us to 6-6 and saves NEU Or after starting 1-4 Hatcher is dumped and Kelly or Semonza or kellymonza rally us to finish 5-7 is that enough to sell the future and buy Mike another year. Option 3 Does Mike Say Listen let me Fire Kev get a hew play caller thats been the problem.. Is that enough to buy him one more I think you need to trademark or hashtag “kellymonza” somehow. That’s the 2QB system that I want to see! 1-4 is very realistic out the gate. If it’s an ugly 1-4 I think the writing is on the wall. Kentucky and Georgia games could be lopsided, but the others in that first 5 game stretch certainly should not be. |

To me this would be the most damning evidence against Neu. He's got a track record of choosing the wrong QB, who fails, and is replaced by the better QB, who succeeds or at least shows more potential, only when it's way too late. Did it with Neal and Plitt. Did it with Paddock and Kelly. Now sounds like he's about to do it with Hatcher/Kelly/Semonza. |

Hatcher might do well here. None of us really know how he will perform. A lot of this talk means nothing until we see real games. I have always rooted for Kelly getting the nod and Semonza is exciting, but I will give Hatcher a chance if they go with him. The first 2 games will be blowouts and hard to judge anything, so it might take until week 3 or 4 to know what we have.
That being said I hope Hatcher is the guy against Kentucky and Georgia regardless of the talent. I don't want our future qbs getting destroyed.

What’s the old saying, if you have 3 qbs, you don’t have one…… I'd worry more about having ONE with nobody else taking 1st team reps. Seeing the coach use practice time with a back up is exactly what we did not have last year. And that was with an established veteran starter who did not really need reps.
When we finally got a second guy involved and actually ready to play last year that we had to like.
