While I understand all the QB talk/speculation, the offense has three other areas that deserve mention: a more seasoned and stronger offensive line, two outstanding tight ends who can catch AND block, and two versatile running backs who can run in-between the tackles AND are threats out of the backfield. Don't know about the receiving group yet and we won't know until games are played. The offense just seems to have more versatility than in the past...

Will play calling match that?

So we're 2 games into the season and we're 0-2, which is no surprise. But if there's any prayer of having close to the appearance of a successful season and perhaps of Neu saving his job, the next 2 games are crucial. How would you now proceed at QB, given what we've seen of all three players?
Hatcher's listed first on the depth chart (whatever that means), but I'm all in on Semonza with the coaches hopefully figuring out some creative uses for Kelly (although I don't have much hope of it being much more than we've seen so far, which really ain't going to fool anyone).

Semonza to start with Kelly getting significant reps would be my plan. I expect Kelly to run wild against non-SEC defenses.

I expect it to be VERY predictable.

I expect it to be VERY predictable. Yeah you’re right. The sad part is I think he could still run wild if they’d just let him pass it sometimes. If teams can just stack the box with 11 defenders he can’t overcome that, but if defenses had to stay honest he could make hay out of broken plays.

Chad Powers has hit the transfer portal. Got some mileage, but worth a look... Chad Powers

Neu didn’t even mention Kelly this week when asked about the QB’s. It feels to me like it is clearly a two QB system now. I’m with all of you in hoping they find more opportunities to get Kelly the ball, but we’ll see.

If Kelly isn't willing to play receiver or some kind of RB/WR hybrid, let him transfer to a school that he can play QB. It's unfair to him to keep him dangling.

Sounds like you think he is somehow being deceived in the process. If so that would be unfair, but isn't it just a coaching decision to not play him very much at QB at this point? Trying to find a limited chance at QB but wanting him to play other positions is fair enough. Absent deception.
If we want to criticize the coach, which fans always do, then let's do it for relatively conservative play calling or maybe if the coach somehow won't play him at the other positions where he can be an impact player. We can argue with the coach's judgment there much more easily. And of course we do all the time...

There is no doubt he has been strung along just take off your sunglasses and admit that. Now if the staff decides and tells him hey this is what we need and want from for you to have role here and he does not like it or want to do it 100% then he may need to look at different options.
