I suppose this also plays into the other convo of are we stringing Kelly along? No. He is not the starter. The Cal Kid has proven himself to be the best of the three or four. Better decision making today. More receivers need to step up. On the running game, I feel Rico has easily earned the No. 2 position. Speed, strength, hands. Spengler is No. 3. We have a good backfield. Passing game needs to catch up with the running game if we are to have a good season. The issue is that the receiving corps needs to step it up. |

Great win! One quick observation, we either need to use Cooper in the passing game or get Spegal in on our obvious pass downs…

I hate the slow draw run plays. It killed our drive inside the 10. The quick hitters seem to always work better. We should be up by at least 3 touchdowns. Totally agree. The only place for those is if we have plays to throw off of them, also. |

Break out over a Division II Indiana State defense. I'm not sold until they at least do it against a MAC level program. Fair enough, but we do know we have a very good MAC level RB, and that SEC defense at Georgia is awfully good, so that game was no surprise to be stifled.
The Ky defense isn't as good, so there is a question mark there, why we couldn't get the running game going better.
