and the even bigger problem, if they don’t figure it out Lewis will go somewhere that does have it figured out Exactly. I’ve been hearing Lewis is already frustrated with some things at bsu, especially in terms of the lack of a coherent NIL/financial development for basketball. I find that not surprising. We seem to be clueless in key administrative positions. Work on campus long enough, you find that out. Did he fail to do any due diligence when he took this job?

How can ISU Be that advanced than BSU with the NLI? Makes zero sense.. Maybe a little Bird decided to back their NIL collective. I doubt we have any little birds with the desire or financial resources to fund basketball to legendary level.

I don't doubt he's frustrated, but he didn't rush to take his first head coaching job, so I'd hope he's not in a rush to leave it. Anyway, has he really proven anything? Not that he couldn't get another gig, but if I was a administrator at a better conference I don't know that his resume would magically jump to the top of my candidate pile.

Ah, but he’s got plenty of power players who’d make phone calls for him. I don’t anticipate him leaving prematurely and I think he’s committed to getting Bsu back to championship level. We just need the school to get its act together to partner with him.

Also, if he could stop having his team getting its ass kicked up and down the court by shitty teams like Evansville and Arkansas Little Rock, that would be good for both his prospects and the programs.

Just talked to some long time fans.. For years they have sat court side they are pretty knowledgeable and had some interesting tidbits.. First off if you have not noticed they surrounded the court with court side seats this year. In the past there had only been maybe 10-15 court side seats. At first those seats were just the cost of the seat later an additional charge of 450 dollars came along.. This year that charge for them increased to 1500 donation plus cost of seats. They also told me that Sellers received 50k to go to UCF Boogie got 150K fron Neb and sparks got 250k from IND If, and I do mean IF, cause I have trouble believing he got that much, Sparks got 250K what would you suppose Ware might have gotten ??

We need to back down in a few sports and decide if we want to be truly competitive in either football or basketball? We are never going to be able to compete in basketball like Butler or Indiana State now unless we do so.

Oh great! take money away from a very successful Women's basketball program and give it to an inept football program and for the last 20 years the basketball program. Womens team ranked #3 in top 25 Mid -Major poll. Womens basketball is on th rise in popularity thanks to Caitlan Clark and LSU. Check the womens schedule there are next to none "patsys" not like our mens----you know what I'm talking about. This next week our team plays in the Sun Coast Challenge against Pitt and Georgia. Against Western Ky the team made 9 3pointers, Becki 3, Estel 3 and Marie K.3. The so called minor sports are major success stories from baseball, track NCAA champion, volleyball, golf, soccer, field hockey(needs a little work) and swimming. I don't know about the bowling team or Archery. Do we even have a bowling team or archery? I left out softball that has been very successful. A big reason for these success stories is each one of these sports have excellent coaches and when their not they are gone. NO buy out shit. Propping up football at the expense of these very successful teams is wrong. They should not be dragged down to the level of ineptness of football and basketball because their funds have been raided.

FB is a money pit with high costs for occasional good results, too expensive to achieve consistent success.
Investing in men's BB makes sense on many counts. Revenue neutrality is possible and some chance for regular national recognition.
Women's BB, many other "minor" programs are starved. Point the finger at feeding the insatiable demands of escalating costs in FBS FB.

IU ahead of #2 Kansas 40 to 32 at halftime. IU played 8 players in the first half. Sparks wasn't one of them.

Since I was unwilling to pay the Peacock blackmail, got to watch IU vs. Kansas on free TV. IU blew a 13 point lead to lose by 4.
Sparks did a tremendous job of clapping on the bench but to no avail. Couldn't will his team to a victory. 0 minutes played for Mr. $250,000.
As I suspected, in crucial games Sparks has fallen out of the rotation. Probably will see some future minutes in easier IU games.
