watched Nebraska panic in the last three minutes of their game with Ill. Reminded me of BSU and how we came unglued many times. Nebraska raced down the floor and took hurried low percentage shots. I didn't think Hoiburg called a time out to calm things down.

Todd Lindeman/Peyton Sparks. Lindeman was 7 ft and averaged almost 10 his last year. I’d take Todd in the middle versus an undersized 4. Payton went from 29 min a game in the MAC to 7 in the BT. I realize the MAC isn’t comparable to the BT in any way but neither was his playing time. Wonder if he enjoyed it.

Yeah I couldn’t think of any of the many nondescript big men that were mostly ineffective on offense and served more as screeners back then. Lindeman was the only name I could remember. Sparks didn’t even reach the level of nondescript big man.

Not calling you out. Just thought that we are doing a disservice to Todd Lindeman! How about Richard Mandeville? That’s another IU guy since we are picking on IU.
I’ll never know but I’ll always wonder if this last season met Spark’s expectations. Maybe he wanted to be part of the Mop Lady/IU lore/run out onto that floor and if so, that’s great! It was going to be hard being an undersized big with no offensive game and foul prone. Maybe he is happy as a clam or maybe he has some regrets.

And boy, he would have really helped us this year but best of luck to him.

Then what will the haters like Herman say?

Bell and Middleton in the portal this morning. Very disappointed, but not surprised by Middleton. We needed Bell to go!

Maybe Lewis told Middleton he wasn't going to fit the style he wants to play. Or, Middleton didn't actually like being coached hard despite getting to play quite a bit. It's an open scholarship. Chance to go get better players.
