This means the administration buys into the idea bowl games are worth it in advertising and alumni good will. This is the MAC mentality that schools need to look like big schools.
That is a poor measure of quality that says the low level FBS schools are "real." Win 4 or 5 games in a bad conference forever and declare yourself a winner! Worse, it justifies the spending premium for FBS.
We are FBS and we will be until the MAC is not that's just not going to change so we will spend what we have too to keep up the charade. Nothing is going to change that.
AD also mentions the options for the army game would make the schedule harder. So we will be dealing with 1-3 non con record requiring us to go 5-3 in MAC play
Think JMU is now more of a "winnable" game with Cignetti leaving. Think they lose their QB and RB, too. Definitely a tough game, but not an automatic "L".
