Hunt flipped his commitment from South Carolina to Texas A&M. Patrick Dougherty is the TEs coach at TAMU now. Also, WR Gathings is no longer committed. My guess is that was more of the staff encouraging him to look elsewhere. Hunt changed his mind again and is apparently sticking with South Carolina.

I dont think that this can be true as transfer players do not sign national letters of intent. They sign whats called a matriculation letter which does not become valid until the first class is attended..
But who knows

big win to have Koziol come back. this portal stuff is crazy! If Knowles can get the defense together and find a good QB, I think the Cards can compete for the MAC championship this year.

There isn’t anything binding until he’s actually enrolled. One thing that helped keep him in the fold is actually his NIL agent who was also Spencer Rattler’s NIL agent.

guessing SC just upped the ante and he was already comfortable there anyway. All of this exercise also proves why bsu athletics, all of our sports, will struggle to attract/keep the better talent. We just don’t have the money. We cannot compete with that. Especially football. We just cannot do bidding wars.

I don't know how much money gymnastics gets but they just won a meet which included N. Carolina ,Rutgers and Utah State and are picked to win the MAC.

Non revenue sports probably aren’t affected by NIL at our level. UCLA/LSU level, sure.

I wasn't thinking so much about NIL but the number of scholarship and overall money to sustain the program. Seems like we are attracting some really decent gymnasts.

Women's gymnastics is a lot like men's volleyball in that very few schools field teams as compared to football or basketball. I think there are fewer than 100 college gymnastics programs. I think Ball State is the only university in Indiana that has a program.
Unlike men's volleyball though, where it seems very few high school state associations sponsor the sport, women's gymnastics is pretty prevalent in Indiana. So it makes it pretty easy for Ball State to attract recruits, the best of Indiana at least. Although the vast majority of their roster is from out of state.

We we have the different donation drives that we can track Gymnastics is usually up towards top.. Seems like the graduating alum and parents give back much more percantage wise that the other sports.
