The players are now openly paid professionals selling themselves to the highest bidder. Used to be the $100 handshakes. Now it’s full out contracts. |

Equity sports also represents Patrick Mahomes and slews of other NFL players. This is a step in marketing him before he enters draft next year. Its hard to for us to understand the depths of what NIL has became and bad its brutally fnng us |

Its hard to for us to understand the depths of what NIL has became and bad its brutally fnng us Just saw an NCAA proposal allowing "trusts" up to $30K for college to pay athletes directly for the resource rich" programs. That's in addition to NIL. I.e., its the chance for many of the P5 to essentially create their own big money division and push schools like ours even further down. There will come a day where there's a "haves" division and a "have nots" division. I'm not even sure we can compete with the have nots. Will there be a "have even less than not" group? We could be in that one. At any rate, NIL has gone WAY beyond what it was intended because the NCAA failed (were afraid to) put any kind of guardrails on it. Oh well. |
