This basketball program is a squishy, stinking, worm-infested pile of dog shit.

Sherm, for once I’d like for you to tell us how you really feel. Stop holding back!

We couldn't hit a shot if we had a funnel. Agree with the General's perception of us.

Amen to that Sherm; we are so freaking bad!
It’s depressing; I’m going to the bar!

Imagine if we had Sparks, Sellers, and Boogie along with Jihad, Anderson, and Pearson!
Might have been a title contender

Was anybody surprised that we coughed up a seven point lead? Unforced turnovers just kill as does 37% shooting. If he can't recruit any better, Coach should be shown the door. And I would have liked to have seen Bailey taking the last shot.

I don't understand but the Cards actually play better on the road. Why is that? I tried to listen to the coach's comments after the game on the radio broadcast. His voice does not come in loud and clear like the voices of the radio guys. It seemed to me he did take responsibility for the teams play for the season, at least the MAC season. Said he wasn't getting things across to the players. Reminds me of an old radio interview with Gene Keady who said he liked to recruit guys who would listen.
Go Cards!

Why aren't we playing Middleton. I thought the team was better with him at the point.

That was one of the more pathetic home games I can ever remember sitting through. To get beat at home and score under 60--against RPI 332 EMU nonetheless--is just pitiful.
Heath totally outcoached Lewis. Lewis can continue to yell and scream at his players, assistants, athletic staff, and refs all he wants, but until he looks in the mirror it will never get better. Jihad dominated the last 9 minutes of the first half, yet hardly touched the ball in the second half. That last "play"--if you want to call it that--was about as atrocious of a call and/ or execution after being let back in the game I've ever witnessed at the buzzer.
To go 5-9 in THIS league is just shameful. There's absolutely ZERO ways to candy coat it. These teams are truly awful...and they're beating us on our home floor!

This program having been emasculated, eviscerated and rotting in a landfill for the last 23 years, it's difficult to come up with new "worsts" by this point. But I think Lewis may have just done it. I doubt we have ever had a MAC loss as bad as losing to #332 at home. Maybe I'll try to verify this some day, but for now I'm just going to speculate: WORST MAC LOSS EVAR.
OK, I had been feeling pretty smug about stating some weeks ago that our participation in the MAC tourney would come down to sweeping Western. Things seemed to be heading exactly that way, proving me to be my usual prescient self. However, this loss upsets that apple cart. Now, in addition to completing the sweep of Western, we will also have to win at CMU or at BG, or beat Kent at home. Still just possible, but my confidence in my prediction is shot to pieces. So if you now want to wail and lament that we aren't making the MAC tourney...go right ahead.

We aren’t making the MAC tourney and honestly don’t need to make it won’t mean a damn thing.
I had thought Lewis was a fantastic hire and for awhile last year it sure looked like it. This year is just a completely different story and I’m pretty concerned.
