Would be cool if we could lure Mac Brown to Muncie, and an assistant (his hand selected successor), for 5 years. Build a program. He’s in his 70’s. It’s too late.

Two guys in their late 70s and early 80s ran for President. One made it. Hope we have a winning season with him.

He’s leaving UNC feeling slighted, similar to Solich. Come on into Muncie, bring your successor and let’s build a perennially successful program. Or, do it someplace else and will be fun to watch it happen.

His best days are past him, plus we couldn’t begin to come up with the level of money he can command. Not sure he’ll get another shot at this point.

He’s already landed the money and no one will pay him any more (age). It’s wishful thinking - will never happen at BSU but would be cool to watch him do it someplace in the south …. He doesn’t need the money.

FAU would be a great place to retire for Mack Brown. Get it started for 2-3 years, and then let his successor kick some A.

No secret I want Faulkner thats my choice doesnt have to be yours but something is holding that up.. Could be Eddies agent or it could be Mitchell and Eddie is not first choice.
I have one guy who insists its Haines
Stockton was talked about early Ive heard no one talk about him since
I suppose it still could be anyone in the world

For Faulkner, Haines or Stockton, their seasons are likely to last another month or more. Seems to me Haines' position is most integral to his team; the other two less so.
Rob, is Mitchell willing to wait that long for the guy he wants? My assumption would be he'd want someone on the job ASAP to begin recruiting players and staff.
My own personal opinion is I don't mind waiting for the right guy, and I like a guy who's dedicated to his current job, not just looking forward to his next position ... even if that does put us behind schedule.
Personally, I still like the idea of the successful lower division HC.

Maybe the decision is contingent upon who makes the playoff?
I just hope we land someone who is wise with engagement, team organization and game management.

I saw where KC Keeler left Sam Houston State to Temple.

Let's be honest. Parrish, Taylor, Lembo, Whitford, Neu, Lewis....Stockton, Faulkner, Haines, .... Whatever name is magically pulled out of the hat, history tells us, is not going to move the needle

Is Haines a sideline DC or press box DC for IU?

What about Neal Brown from WVU? Not great at WVU, but very successful at Troy. Some folks just aren't meant for the bright lights but accel at our level.
