Personally I have seen enough. Let me start by saying that I think he is a good guy. I like the emails he sends and he seems to really care about the fans. I appreciate the TSIB, Virginia and USF wins.
BUT the facts:
Approaching back to back losing seasons with HIS recruits and the DEPTH he always talks about building. The program seems to be getting increasingly undisciplined.
Defense is not improving.
2-3 in homecoming games
0-2 in bowl games
0-5 vs NIU losing the Bronze Stalk, but more importantly, unable to compete with the "top" of the MAC
0-1 vs ISU losing the Victory Bell
0-3 vs Sunbelt Conference (N. Texas, Ark St, Georgia State) This is inexcusable.
The way the team is playing, we are on track for a 2-10 season. I expected today to be a blowout win in our favor; gain momentum for CMU, but no.. CMU blows out Buffalo and we get embarrassed at home again!

I'm very sorry..,, But I have to agree. I think very highly of Pete, but this is 100% his program the last two years and we've seen it fall off. The recruiting just hasn't been good enough and the philosophy of play has been too timid and safe. Especially on defense. We do little to disrupt. On offense we rarely stray from the short horizontal game. Offense is where our best players are but they are too underused. In general we are too small and too slow on defense. I have no idea what we are doing with our secondary. They have no idea either. I keep hearing from inside that Pete is detached from the players. And if you watch him on the sideline, he paces and talks on the head set. He doesn't talk to players, he doesn't get in huddles. I don't know why that is. When things aren't working we don't seem to have an answer. We just keep doing what we do. We only seem to play well for a half.
Honestly I don't see Petes tenure ending well unless we recruit better athletes on defense, shake up the staff on that side, and become more diverse on offense. Watch our opponents on d against us. They generally play up on us because they know what's coming-- dinks. Our pass routes just don't set up big plays very often. Pete really needs to evaluate everything we're doing, top to bottom. He's stubborn and set in his system. Time to take a look at it. I want him to succeed and get back to winning 9 games a year.

During the game I began to think: If I was a coach on this staff, head coach all the way on down, what could I say during a post-season evaluation with either the AD or Pete to save my job.
I had no answers. From the look of today's game, neither will our coaches.

Good comments. Told my buddy on the way home, I couldn't understand there not being a lot more discussion about Lembo's job than there was Whitford's. We don't seem to make changes on defense nor put any pressure on the opposing QB. We have to get pressure, somehow. If you can't do it with the three man rush, then blitz. I too don't see who else were are going to beat. Results can't be any worse.

We said it before, Skrosky was probably the glue that held Lembo's ship together.

Its nice to know that I am not the only one who notices this. Here are a few other facts: Since Keith Wenning's last win on Nov 5, 2013 Lembo has gone 7-13. The breakdown of those 7 wins are: 2 FCS teams (Colgate/VMI) 2 EMU wins Akron, CMU, and a BG team that already locked the MAC East and was going to play in the championship game 1 week later and guaranteed a bowl..
Does anyone who went to the GoDaddy bowl remember when Pete turned to the BSU fans in attendance and yelled for them to shut up?

I'd hate to see Lembo get fired, but it's painfully obvious the program is declining. The last game I'd been to before today was the Ohio game three years ago when we stomped them. I felt like I was watching a team with totally different management. Today was more like the last few home games before Parrish got canned.

This was to me a worse defeat than ISU or Massachusetts games of last year. I live in Colorado and have listened to the radio broadcast. Is our offensive line getting beat and pushed back by the defensive fronts? I thought the strength of the offense was supposed to the line and thought we would run the ball today against G State but for the most part it seemed we were passing just as we had against NIU and Toledo. I do not understand why we don't try a different pass defense as it was a flop last year and is worse this year. We need to try something different against CMU even if it fails as Cooper Rush will throw for 600 yards against us. I think you should accept the fact Pete is not leaving tomorrow or at the end of the season even if we go 2- 10 unless some alum is paying off the contract. Most of the staff Pete brought with him from Elon have moved to higher paying jobs. While I feel their is a need to immediately replace members of his staff history would say Pete has only replaced people who moved on to better paying jobs. I do feel their will be a number of people looking for jobs in the Big 10 soon as I see at least two more and likely three more head coaches losing their jobs which creates five jobs in the Big 10 two of which will probably go to Carey, Fleck and/or Campbell. I hope to see changes next week.

Despite the disappointment, I don't think I'm ready to give up on Pete quite yet.
If Skrosky was the glue, big deal. Pete wouldn't be the first head coach to benefit from hiring good people.
However, you gotta replace them with good people and I would think that if Pete isn't having questions about some of his more recent hires, that would be a real problem. I don't care if Skrosky was the glue; what I care about is Pete being able to evaluate the situation, recognize problems and take appropriate action to correct them. If he can't do that, then we really do have an issue at the top.
Two other thoughts:
1. Last year's team didn't play that horribly after the QB change. Was it what was hoped for? No. But, I thought the team in general showed improvement through the season. So, although somewhat disappointing, I don't know that I'd say it was a sure sign of decline considering what we had lost the previous year.
2. How, if at all, is Pete's position as an associate AD affecting his job as head coach. Personally, I always considered it was just a way to give him more money and keep him around. What if, perhaps, they're actually asking him to do associate AD work, whatever that might be. Is he delegating more to assistants in terms of game planning and preparation, talent evaluation and recruiting? Could these be issues, too?

Just my opinion, you're of course entitled to disagree... but I say no way. I wouldn't even entertain the idea if we didn't win again this year. In my opinion... there are many worse coaches in college FB than better. But if things don't get better this year, I'd be willing to listen to atleast making some coaching/systemic changes.

To me it's more about what Pete is going to do to address the issues. I would hope he's willing to look at everything.
