I could never come to a conclusion if Neal's lack of progress was because of the team or he just did not have the ''it'' that Davis and Wenning did.

I could never come to a conclusion if Neal's lack of progress was because of the team or he just did not have the ''it'' that Davis and Wenning did. I have no idea about "it" but he sure didn't thread the ball into the right place as often. And he did not throw long as well. That's two things that make a difference. He may have been a better runner, but I did not see us running an offense where that was what anybody wanted. There is some question whether he had the same quality of receiver, I suppose. So. He never did seem to fit here, that's for sure. Could be he didn't have what we needed, or the coaches did not utilize him to best ability or put the players around him who he needed. Seems simpler than talking about some intangible "it" when maybe those other guys whether they had "it" or not were just better QBs, who were used to their best ability.
