Idiot, the point is "standing in respect" for the flag and anthem is a far older tradition. You don't even understand your own posts.

When the colts trade with the patriots, I just assume they are being fleeced by Bill Belichick. However, I see that Philip Dorsett and Dwayne Allen have a grand combined total of 1 reception for 7 yards this season. Nor have injuries been a big factor...they are just not producing.
How about that?

How about that? I'll admit I expected Dorsett and Allen to be pro-bowl caliber players and Jacoby to be cut by week 8, just based on how the Patriots always seem to get the best out of players. It seems not even the Patriots can get anything out of those two. Meanwhile Jacoby is hurting out draft chances with every win lol

Allen has loads of talent, but just can't seem to stay healthy. Dorsett... well, he's fast. That's about all he's got.
Brissett has tons of upside. He's quick, poised in the pocket (although he holds onto the ball too long), accurate, and a Marino-speed release. With experience, he could be an upper-tier QB.
That begs the question: If he plays really, really well in the next few games, what do the Colts do with him when Luck is healthy? QB controversy? Play each of them depending on situations? Trade Luck for a boatload of picks?

If Brisset really blossoms the big gambit of trading Luck is conceivable. They would have to take back a big salary or two with a trade. Far more likely, they trade Brisset, and fill a few holes with whatever they get in return and free agents.
But with as many needs as they seem to have, the story for the Colts is probably not about Brisset becoming a topflight player but how well other young players do and whether they get a coach who can better use what they have.

Jim Irsay has severe brain damage but not that severe.

Kind of agree about upside. But. Are you sure about Irsay?

How about that? Their first play of the season was Allen dropping a pass.

Jim Irsay has severe brain damage but not that severe. I'll second this. I guess given the backup QB's we've been forced to suffer through, Brissett is a welcome change, but no way does he beat out a healthy Luck. I hate the Pats as much as anyone, but it's hard to doubt their ability to recognize talent. If they felt he had so much upside, I doubt they would have traded him. Brady isn't going to play forever.

The Colts are borrowing a page from the Cardinals playbook as Luck suffers a "setback" and Indy cannot confirm if he'll play this season.

Right now, I think Ballard wants three things:
1) Luck fully healthy, no questions asked, preferably not playing behind this line,
2) Higher draft picks to speed up the rebuild,
3) Suck Pagano gone.
Keeping Luck out accomplishes #1, and makes #2 and #3 more likely.
The Colts also need to get a new voice, like Peyton Manning, into this organization. The less involvement Irsay has, the better.
