He was arrested and charged with domestic battery on Saturday around 12:45AM and is suspended indefinitely.

Guess recruiting two guards for next season is looking better now. Also frees-up another scholarship to try and land a Big Man, not that we have been able to identify one with our current scholarship. But now with two scholarships maybe we can use one on a JUCO who can play next season plus a project to red-shirt.

Who knows if they will kick him off completely Whits track record so far is he does not boot guys who’ve earned the boot. At least not the ones who’ve been suspended FOUR times.

Exactly but his hand might be forced with this one but who knows. Tyler and his pot problem is one thing but a nice write up in the paper about domestic abuse is another thing. Speaking of Tyler I wonder if he quit or if he just quit getting caught.

Yeah if it’s proven that what Walker is alleged to have done really happened I don’t think the decision on how to discipline will be in whits hands.

Domestic violence is a huge social no-no in today’s environment. Whit won’t be in the decision on whether or not to boot him from the team. Only my opinion and assuming the charges are warranted.

I guess the question is is Walker good enough to be worth the backlash of a suspension and then coming back. Plenty of Domestic abusers are playing college basketball/football. Its not death sentence for the kid but its a black eye for the program if he comes back.

Its out of the allegedly abused girls hands as well. She might not press charges but if there were signs of abuse charges have to be filed. I guess it now falls on who ever prosecutes the case to decide how far to take it

Without getting into details I’d rather take Tyler back for his issues than Walker back for his if true Ive said it before pot smoking is pot smoking.. Tylers problem is he just kept getting caught. Allowing him to keep coming back could just lead to other kids fng up because there are no real consequences. If I were a coach I would have given Tyler a second chance not the third or fourth. Walker would be gone forever if it turns out to be true

This is far more a matter of what BSU decides about it.

if true, domestic abuse is a no no in my book. period. pot is ok as i live in colorado...we got to decriminalize the thing and focus on the hard core drugs. just my two cents.

Its not death sentence for the kid but its a black eye for the program if he comes back. The answer to your question is no. That is assuming that he is guilty. The answer would be the same regardless of the player. I haven't seen many games, but Walker hasn't really impressed me so I'm not sure how much of a loss this would be. It would hurt depth this year, but next year with the transfers playing we should be fine there. As someone else mentioned it could open up another scholarship for a big.
