I guess the question is is Walker good enough to be worth the backlash of a suspension and then coming back. Plenty of Domestic abusers are playing college basketball/football. Its not death sentence for the kid but its a black eye for the program if he comes back. The answer to your question is no. That is assuming that he is guilty. The answer would be the same regardless of the player. I haven't seen many games, but Walker hasn't really impressed me so I'm not sure how much of a loss this would be. It would hurt depth this year, but next year with the transfers playing we should be fine there. As someone else mentioned it could open up another scholarship for a big. Walker is/was our most consistent three point shooter and neither of the transfers can shoot for crap. With Tyler and Sellers both graduating losing Walker will hurt.

Looking at the stats I would say Tyler is the most consistent three point shooter. I didn't realize the transfers can't shoot, so that is a concern if they don't improve.

Walton can't shoot but Hazen is supposed to be able to at least be a functional shooter.

But to be fair, Walton is a slasher/get to the hoop guy, no? He does bring something to us that maybe we don't already have. What is it that they say? He scores the ball?

He can score the ball and he can assist it. He just can't jump shoot it.

Yeh, some folks have said that next year is "our year", but we lose a lot. Tyler, Sellers and Kiapway are a big part of our current success and as someone else has said, we don't gain those kind of shooters that can break a run that the other team has going.

Don’t think losing these guys is huge, jarron and Kani are gonna be bigger and more athletic but are not gonna be the shooters Sean and Francis are obviously. Walton is gonna be the same way

Tyler, Sellers and Kiapway are a big part of our current success and as someone else has said, we don't gain those kind of shooters that can break a run that the other team has going. A big part, yet not a key part. Tyler just hasn’t provided much impact overall save an outburst here and there and has not been on the court at all for large stretches of time. Francis has been limited by injuries over his time. They just haven’t given us that much in the big picture. Sellers is starting to find consistent production again and I think we’ll end up missing him. In my opinion the overall guard play over the less 4 years has been meh, save Persons. We’ve yet to find a 2 guard who consistently produces double figures and also guards his position well. Thought Tyler would be that guy. We seem to always lose the two guard battle like 20-8 every night. On a team supposedly full of shooters no one shoots well on a consistent basis. Walton will be explosive and get to the rim but will not hit jumpers. The incoming freshmen, who knows what they’ll give. Again, our roster is made up of a bunch of parts, but no alphas. Some suggest we don’t need an alpha because balance, but when we NEED a bucket who’s gonna do it? Persons has, but not over the last 4 or so games. He’s it and when he’s not on we struggle to score.

Halftime, your statement was untrue until you were questioned and added a qualifier
And, according to Halftime, Hazen can’t shoot either!

And, according to Halftime, Hazen can’t shoot either! He shot .167 at Arkansas and was 0-2 from three. He isn't a good shooter, which is why he is now at Ball State. The first part of your post I won't respond to because I have no idea what it is supposed to mean.

Um surprised you are really using Hazen's 42 .minutes of action at Arkansas to say he can't shoot. Give him some slack.

Gee do you think maybe his lack of minutes had something to do with his offensive productivity. His offensive rating at Arkansas was a 46 and his offensive plus/ minus was a -8 ( Zach Gunn by comparison is a 94 and a - 2.5) . Hazen wasn't a good shooter in High School either where he shoot 16% as a junior and 36% as a senior.
