My concern on Hazen is I've watched his brother play 3 or 4 times this year and he's looked really bad. Looking at Valpo's stats page just now, Hazen has started 11 of 17 games but is only averaging 10 minutes per game. With those 10 minutes he is averaging 1.2 points per game.
Coming out of high school, this Hazen (the one at Valpo) was supposedly the better of the two brothers. If he's doing this poorly at Valpo, what are we getting with the older brother? Could both of the Hazen brothers been over-rated in high school?

He is probably looking at felony assault and jail time.

And, the dude was smoking weed. The day before a freaking game! I'm so glad he would have been of clear mind for the game..... Problem is, some of his teammates do the same thing. I know it goes on everywhere, but until it's legal, and is not a school/NCAA violation, DON"T FREAKING DO IT. At least not in season, and right before games. Speaks to where the focus is. (and I thought weed was supposed to chill you out, not make you violent)

I'M in agreement...Walker would never see more time in a BSU uniform if found to be guilty. I don't condone weed use but in my personal view its a lot different that the alleged infractions by Mr W

Seems like Whit needs to grab hold of his team again and have a "come to Jesus" about off court issues and activities not conducive to them being as good as they could be.

Looks like Whitford has brought some of the Xavier Way to Muncie.

Looks like Whitford has brought some of the Xavier Way to Muncie. Such a classy deflection... is that the same Xavier which has lapped us in the last 15 years since we were playing home and home as mid-majors competitive with one another? It's amazing how that same period can make me less concerned about typical college kid shenanigans like textbooks fraud, long distance cards and the like. I've argued Muncie and BSU don't have the stomach for high-level D-1 athletics, but I'm not supporting physical assault either. If what's being reported is true, then JW needs to be gone. Another poster said it probably won't be up to the Coach, and I agree.

What deflection ? Xavier has two former players currently in prison on murder charges and had three different starting point guards busted on drug charges in three consecutive seasons. You can build programs without recruiting from the knucklehead pile.

These are 18-20 year olds and they screw up. What you do with them after that is indicative of the program/coach you want to be, and I thought that was piling on both a coach and a program that has nothing to do with this incident. Some transgressions you get another chance, others you get cut loose. It's life.
