A win is a win BUT once again, we beat a last place team. We should be beating these guys like a drum. Gotta beat a conference foe at the top, on the road. Until then I am still a doubter. I write this like anyone cares about my opinion. I care

The team just has to maintain its focus and effort and the results will continue. Easier said than done, but even if they slip they have proven some things and should be able to get focus back. Fair to say focus is most important thing, but mental and physical fatigue is going to be a challenge in the last 3 games. This next game the issue is more WMU and it's roughhouse style of play. First, they are a good team, capable of a good game. Second, games with WMU are usually ugly games with lots of fouling. We are doing a pretty good job avoiding fouls, but this will be a real big challenge.

BSU0, ok pal I have a question for you?
NIU beat Buffalo so does that make them not a good team?

I want the home win against Western but does anyone else think a loss in one of the last two might not be a bad thing. Would like to think we win out.

I just do not like coming into the tournament on a long winning streak. I think a loss sometimes brings you back to earth and refocuses you a bit. Im weird I know but I think a loss to Central might ground us a bit. Then we refocus come out and drill NIU again and go into the tournament. If Toledo slips up though then of course I want us to win the west.

I am hoping that leading NIU by 22 and having that cut to seven should refocus the team with an understanding you can’t let down your guard. We are a very good team, but you must play the entire game with focus - unless you are leading as big as we were against Toledo with four minutes to go.

Unless it costs you the West and a 2nd seed. Then again, I think u throw everything out when it comes to the tourney. I don’t think anyone is safe in Cleveland.

First of all, while I agree with Rob about the way a loss might work, I am worried we lose then all, so I am not crazy about the debate concerning losing 1. But besides that. 2nd or 3rd seed, how can we tell which is better? The second round is likely Toledo either way, and I hesitate to predict the order of finish to tell which 1st round we get.

Im weird I know but I think a loss to Central might ground us a bit. Then we refocus come out and drill NIU again and go into the tournament. If Toledo slips up though then of course I want us to win the west. I used to feel that way. Didn't want to go into the tournament on a long winning streak because I wanted the team focused. Didn't want the team to go into the tournament on a long losing streak because that meant they sucked. Didn't want to play someone in the tournament we'd beaten twice during the regular season because it meant the third time was a charm for them. Didn't want to play someone who'd beaten us twice during the regular season because it meant it meant we surely weren't good enough to beat that team. Before you mention what I wrote in previous paragraph, remember this is BSU basketball. Only curses apply. No charms. Anyway, now I say just screw it. This team may not be deep but it's deep enough and there's plenty of experience. Win out Cards. Just win.

Yes German pick up about 9 points when it did not matter.. He is still going to be a bitch for us especially at home. He got to the rim pretty much at will during the game. Just have to stop everyone else

I am not drinkin' this Kool Aid yet. We have THREE conference wins on the road. Ohio and Toledo twice (I guess we have their number). We are 5-8 on the road. That record away from home is not a good omen of things to come in the MAC tournament. It is obvious we are capable of playing well at times but just when one might think they are coming of age they lay an egg. Call me too critical, call me a sceptic, call me Edna, just don't call me if we beat a lousy team and act like we are in the Sweet Sixteen.
