Webber is suspended two games for dui. Teague is a mystery.

I wonder if he has been cleared by the clearing house to play? The kid from Purdue ( Swannigen) just got cleared a few weeks ago. The Star press coverage is horrendous so who knows. It is a possibility.

Instead of all the aimless speculation in these threads about teague (injured? redshirted? not cleared? academic casualty? alien abduction?) , i simply tweeted to the StarPress reporter. He addressed what he knew on his Twitter feed. I'll update when i get home.

Wait. He can't do that. Can he do that? I don't think he can do that.

Thanks Swenocha, I don't tweet, so thanks I'm glad you do.
Basic question, if Teague red shirts this year at BSU and he wants to play somewhere else the following year (after watching this outfit for a year, who would blame him) would he have to sit another year at a Division I school, or could he play immediately? In other words, would he have to do what Rashaun Richardson did to play again in 2016-17 after leaving Ball State?

Injury over the Summer could have changed that as Ryan suggests but we will see.
Teague is not leaving..IF he were redshirted don't you think Whit would discuss with such a highly claimed recruit and get buy in???!!! I do.

He can play two years there, then go back to a D1 team and play 2 more. Or if he can finish at the JUCO and graduate after one year come back to D1. Playing more was a major factor in Richardson leaving. BTW the academics at JUCO are considerably less a burden and allow a player who spends two years there to catch up, even get ahead, so when he comes back to D1 he can have a lighter load to maintain eligibility. Two good reasons.

This coaching staff, in my opinion, has been as secretive as North Korea. Definitely does not create a good fan atmosphere surrounding the program. Would love to see more transparency and admission of fault going forward. We deserve at least that.

Now we know as much as anyone else outside the program, nothing.

I don't think any staff likes to discuss redshirt decisions, disciplinary matters or academic issues in public. I think Whitford is just able to be more secretive because of lack of interest in the program. If this was some other program - a program that hadn't frittered away its fanbase over a dozen years - the Teague situation would have been leaked and exposed to daylight some time ago. I think there may be like...oh, I don't know...50 people who really care one way or another about Teague's status and most of them post on this board.

Also privacy limits what coaches can discuss.
