For those of us (most of us) that follow the professional football team in Indianapolis, distinct possibility our two football teams are coached by last year's Saints coaches.

Sucks, but inevitable once Pete left.

BSU Athletic Director Mark Sandy would not confirm talking to Neu, adding that there are still two stages to work through before making a hire.
"I have someone I have in mind," Sandy said. "But I have to make sure they want the job and to make sure they will come and work for the compensation we have -- and that hasn't started yet."
uh ohhhhh please dont let this be a money thing

It HAS to be a money thing. Neu would have to have been making really good money to be a QB coach in the pros. Our only hope is that he might want to get head coaching experience in college to lead to bigger college job or additional professional experience. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be a GREAT hire, but he is REALLY going to have to want the job because I don't think we would be able to match what he was probably making. Might be wrong and I hope I am.

I wouldn't worry about the money thing. His agent already knows what Lembo was making and Neu wouldn't be involved if it was a likely hurdle. The length of contract might be a stumbling block however.

Neu's family are big supporters of Ball State athletics. If he becomes the HC, his family coming at home games may double official attendance.

I guess we may as well stand down on this thing for awhile. Nothing is getting done for awhile.
