I would like to think that some good can yet come of all this. Specifically that decent people of good will on the right and left can come to a consensus that a politically inspired tantrum with property destruction and/or violence, looting, burning etc. is not a good thing.
But I know better of course. What will happen is politicized maniacs on both sides will exercise their creativity in explaining to us why it was that THEIR side's riot was excusable while the OTHER side's riot was the worst thing in the history of the world. |

Protesting is stupid the rioting looting that happened over the summer and the bullshit that happened today has to stop. I dont care if you white black yellow blu or have a dick in your ear this shit has got to stop.. Its pretty easy to see that no one is capable of having a peaceful protest anymore

Its pretty easy to see that no one is capable of having a peaceful protest anymore Meaning no disrespect but the Trump supporters/protestors were by legitimate sources on the ground peaceful and in no way "rioters". There are numerous sources (you'll have to search for them yourself) which will validate that the trouble makers were actually "Antifa" thugs there to do nothing other than to provoke and cause trouble. Granted, you won't find this covered by mainstream media; there are several outlets that have identified individual troublemakers and also shown that the so-called Antifa were live streaming their intent during the event. In short, the supposed violence was staged by outsiders intending to evoke reaction just as it did for you. |

That might be true and if it is it furthers my point.. You can not protest anymore as the instigators are going to do this every time they get a chance. Now I'm sure the vast majority of today's protesters were peaceful but I watched all day and while there could have been antifa plants I saw a bunch of redneck trumpers being assholes as well. I condemned the riots this summer so it would by hypocritical of me not to condem this

The woman shot while trying to go through a window was 14 year military vet. She had nothing to do with antifa she was all trump and was there causing trouble and she paid the ultimate price... What about the guy sitting at Pelosi desk not antifa either.. Just people doing bullshit

They deserve to be shot. They were invading a secure space with violence and ill intent.
Anyone that can be identified as part of the rioters should be arrested and tried to the fullest extent of the law.

The woman who was unarmed was not running away, was not killed while restrained on the ground. This was not apparently a case of untrained civilian police wannabe shooting someone as a result of being where he did not belong.
4 people total died in these riots. None may have been saints, but the organizers of the riot, the President who encouraged "strong" action and sent them into the Capitol need to be held responsible, just as the others you refer to above should be.
It has nothing to do with their appearance. She was not shot because she was ugly. Or white...

Let's also note that the protests in DC where "mostly non-violent", in the sense that the majority of protesters did no damage, and nothing illegal. So, no doubt the media will be rushing to defend the protesting. They are...aren't they?
Similarly, WWII was "mostly non-violent" for the city of Hiroshima, given that it had been spared from the US strategic bombing up until Aug 6, 1945....very near the end of the war. |

This was not protest which evolved into lawless property crime, you are correct. It was intentional attempt to intimidate and harm Congress and staff. The protest was pretext to achieve the incursion which was planned on social media, not spontaneous outgrowth of legitimate understandable protest. Or people who opportunistically took advantage of the chaos.
This was insurrection.
