Brannen was terminated and Cincinnati has reached out to Archie Miller. What a screw job. It takes a lot more of a coaching icon apparently with a lot more success to overcome a player revolt.
The few reports that are specific at all show him to not be very good at dealing with conflict and player complaints, you can't ignore that today, but you almost have to think it was either something more serious that was coming out, or that it was smoldering longer term and he was under fire from administration about the complaints for some time.
There is little reported that looks like it was smoking gun excuse to terminate him.

Funny how a guy can be so successful at one school and not much mention of issues with players and get run out on a rail at another. Players now run the show in college like they do the NBA and I don’t think that’s a good thing.
The cincy fanbase wanted Cronin gone at various times. How’d his leaving for UCLA work out for them?

According to Woj, Brad Stevens turned down a 7 year $70 million offer from IU. Maybe this will finally put an end to the Brad Stevens to IU nonsense.
