It starts Wednesday in Muncie, Indiana!!!
CMU plays Toledo in the first game.
Ball State play Ohio in the second game. BSU split with OU in the series held in Muncie.
Gotta win. Gotta stay out of the losers bracket and BSU needs to defend home field.
This is why you win the regular season. Make it matter!
Gotta win three straight in four days. Be dominant.

You boys in Indiana need to show up and give strong support.
It’s been too long since we have represented the MAC in the dance. I feel we were robbed last year.
With that said, it’s time for Maloney to make solid decisions to help get us there. Unlike a few years ago where starting his son at ss, batting him in key slots, and also thinking he’s a pitcher demonstrated a poor ncaa division 1 coaching mindset.
This isn’t little league.

Great season, don’t get me wrong. Also, consistent winner. Good for him. Obviously a good coach.
But…
Have we ever won the tournament under him?
This is his 17th attempt, and we’ve had some good teams.
There’s a difference between a good coach and a great, big game coach. I hope he’s learned from his experience.
Sorry, personally saw several live games during that “era” and the favoritism was blatant and tweaked alot of
people.
I say play every game like it’s your last and don’t “save” personnel.

There is a difference in how you coach in regular season, and how you coach in tournament play.
As we we know, it sucks to try and work your way out of the losers bracket. You burn through resources and it's tough.
Win three games in four days and avoid the loser bracket grinder.

Every other MAC program but Central MI would literally fire their manager if Maloney theoretically was available. He wins wherever he manages. All you have to do is dig into BSU baseball history and look how bad the baseball program was the quarter century before Maloney arrived in 1996 and he pretty much turned the program around on a dime. The 2013 team might have won the MAC tournament if not for a stupid rule of a single elimination finals despite every other round being decided in a double elimination format. Also, he took Michigan to 4 NCAA tourneys. |

CMU immediately ties the game in the bottom of the inning. This game is wild already and the 3rd inning isn’t even over yet.

I doubt our game will actually start at 3, as CMU/ UT are just now in B6th.
Currently 8-7 CMU. Toledo's bullpen is atrocious.
