I guess if you don't actually go to games or watch them you don't care much? Those who buy tickets probably care even more about who we are playing. Who we play non con has never been a thought for me when purchasing tickets. I admit I'll probably buy anyway and go to the games. But if I was the guy selling tickets I really am not sure I'd be happy.
Maybe this year for a new coach that effect will carry the day.
But imagine how the value of the ticket is increased if we had one warm up game and a couple of mid majors here with school in session. Even lowly IUPUI... If 3 of our season tickets are to be regularly games against D3 and NAIA it will not be as easy a sale.

I believe I can recall Purdue in the old gym, and Michigan, and Mississippi State in Worthen. Anyone remember those games? I remember watching the Purdue game in University Gym. Place was electric!! Drove up from Louisville for the Michigan game. I believe it was Bonzi’s frosh year against the Fab 5. He got in foul trouble early and it was an ugly game. Cards committed 30+ TO’s. Ray got us that game based on him being a former Michigan assistant.

Ray got us that game based on him being a former Michigan assistant. It was Bonzi's sophomore year (the 95-96 season) when Michigan played at Worthen (also my sophomore year and the only time I ever saw students sleep overnight in Worthen to get tickets). They thumped us pretty good, 52 - 80. It was a few years after the Fab Five days, but they still had a handful of future NBA players on the roster like Maceo Baston, Maurice Taylor, and Robert "Tractor" Traylor. We played at Michigan the next season. Lost again, and Tractor Traylor shattered a backboard in that game.

I know what I'm starting here. Indulge me, it's Friday.

About 20 minutes in he discusses scheduling. Talks about how we end up with Earlham...
Money and future scheduling goals were issues.
