Kelly made a Twitter post a couple days ago that caught my attention. Paraphrasing- Waiting for my chance to play. Ready and patient - believes his time is coming. Here or somewhere else? I hope it is at ole Ball U!

I'm still leaning toward he'll be in the portal soon. We know Neu sticks with guys even if they aren't performing. I will say that if Paddock looks bad vs WMU that maybe Kelly gets some consideration after that, but who knows. I doubt they want to burn Blazek's redshirt if they don't have to.
Totally agree about burning the redshirt. I think that will be a last resort. Don't forget though, I think he still gets four games.

Could Kelly be getting a shot at WR? And didn't he redshirt last year?

Blazek is the one that I think we would try not to play unless he appears to be far better than Kelly.

In this day in age I wouldn't even worry about the red shirt. Kids transfer so much I would just play whoever is best. If you hold them back you may lose them anyways.

The move to WR looks null and void with the arrival of transfer Abdul rahim. There just does not seem to be a spot for him even though it’s been said he is the most athletic kid on the team. You gotta think he will transfer

There is a lot of season left. Who knows how it plays out. He may get a shot this year.

The guy behind him may also be better. A tough spot for him. Would be great to get him some work somewhere but that usually doesn’t happen. Personally would like to see him in before Blazek because of his ability to make things happen outside the pocket. With Blazek, we need a line that can protect. He looks pretty good if we can protect however.

I’m a Kelly guy cause I think he can give us something we don’t have but only if paddock fails. I’m also not at practice everyday so you gotta trust the coaches

Our O line did not allow a sack against TN. Was that because TN did not blitz or try and sack or did our O line do a really good job?

TN did not blitz and our game plan was paddock to get rid of the ball within 2 seconds thus limiting sack ops. Oline did a good job on that they also could not open a hole for the rbs

The more impressive outcome was very few tackles for loss against a TN team that was very successful at getting tackles for loss last year. TN didn't blitz but they do pressure with their front and get penetration. They didn't make many negative yardage plays against us.

We also played 5 safeties all contributed pretty well. Safety has been a position we have struggled with outside of Bryce. We now have competition and depth. The bad thing is when your safeties are leading the team in tackles it means the opposing team is getting chunk yardage
