The Star article today backed up what everyone has been saying.

The offensive coordinator is as predictable as always.
Can't disagree and I'm not defending the OC, but Neu is listening to the play calls and could make in game changes to plays if he so desired.

I hope the team does the ‘We’re not terrible!” chant after their next win.

Terrible is a relative term.

"This team is not terrible." Are we agreed?
"This team is not mediocre," oops, a big question exists.
"This team is acceptable." the one we end up debating fiercely.

Currently not acceptable. If we were 2-2 by closing out wmu (take a conf win over non conference) I’d find that acceptable. If we’d closed out Ga south too we’d be 3-1 and feeling damned good about our team. At 1-3 and unable to close and still making the same mental and physical errors as game 1 this year and game 1 of the Neu era I don’t feel too good with niu coming in. Physically I think we are pretty competitive now, but tactically…..

We are young and young teams made too many mistakes to overcome many times. Remember freshman and sophomores become juniors and seniors. Don't let a group of 18-22 year old young men ruin a beautiful fall season. Sit back and root for ole Ball State but if we come up short there is always a next game or next year.

We say something similar to that about 95% of the seasons we are trying to enjoy.
This is why we never…..enjoy

Hard to enjoy unless you win home games at least.
cardfan had a point. Beat WMU and we'd see things a little differently.

We are 1-3 with the very real possibility of the worst case scenario 1-5 start staring us dead in the eyes. Sad thing is we could be 3-1 Talent is there as it has been for a few years now.

It’s either (a) Neu or (b) his choice of available assistants. Either way, it’s (a). 2020 kicked an already dented can down the road.

I think play calling is as big an issue as anything. Kevin’s calling the plays this year but are they being called to mask an Issue with paddock or the line, maybe both
