We are not a terrible team. Those losses may have taught something. Closing out competitive games to come will be necessary to avoid that label for some, and it's no brag to be mediocre, but it beats the alternative....
Projected to have 5 wins, will likely have to upset somebody on the road.

We’ll talk again after CMU….. Probably after every game...would love it if we hold home field every time. MAYBE WMU was the home game we shoulda, coulda won and didn't and there aren't more out there. No bet on that.
Even though it's great we accomplished a mild upset, we need 1 or 2 bigger upsets on the road.

We have to be realistic. I think comparing ourselves to other MAC teams and other group of 5 Conferences is appropriate. We want to be in the upper half of that group. We may or may not be there right now, but at least there could be an argument. Next weekend will give us a better indication. I imagine we will be underdogs vs CMU, but it is a very winnable game. |

Of our remaining opponents, I think all are ranked among the worst 30 football teams in the land. So even if we win the rest of our games, we ain't moving up very much. |

All this above being said, if one is a member of the MAC and runs the table during the regular season, said team will be ranked in the top 20-25 at the very least if not higher. Go figure.
