This is why we need to play Vanderbilt. Can you imagine the offensive display? Final score might be 4-2.

Best Case scenario all three starters will play at WR but not 100% Worst case none play. Insert Presley Dean Tate and Mcculley Those receivers are 6,0 5,8 and 6,0 with little exp Both Hunt and Koziol also not 100% Reality a mix of the above happens I have no doubt EMU can make a mess of this game, and the defense may be enough to get it done, but the injury report is very discouraging. We better get a good game out of the OL run blocking.

We have a long completion of 38 yards 18 of those yards were YAC. Our longest pass in the air covered 20 fucking yards, Awful
I'm convinced that this is due to our inability to pass block. Paddock's size and apparent lack of mobility are also contributors, but I think pass blocking is the key culprit. Thoughts ?

Paddock's size is definitely an issue. He has a good arm but is too short.

Paddock's size is definitely an issue. He has a good arm but is too short. That’s the reality. Too many passes knocked down. Can’t see over the line to make downfield throws on time. Has to throw everything high to avoid getting it knocked down. kid is a gamer but the prostyle, slow developing, sit in the pocket offense is maybe not best suited for him. We need to be running a lot of action, misdirection and deception and that’s just not what NEU and Lynch run. Didn’t suit Riley. Doesn’t fit what Kelly could do. We are an 80s/90s grind it out ball control offense in an age when no one plays defense and offenses run up tempo, non stop action. The oline isn’t good enough for what we do. A huge number of Steeles yards come after contact. Rarely does he run clean. The play to win last week was all him bouncing it outside. Everything else has been between the tackles-3yards and a cloud of turf pellets. Puts our d In some really tough spots. With our injuries at te and wr we’re going to try to run it 45 times. I think that’s going to lead to EMU 38- Bsu 20.

It's a winnable game. The Lynch play calling is as follows: 1. Run for 6 yards 2. Incomplete 3. Incomplete 4. Punt Or 1. Incomplete 2. Run for 5 yards 3. Incomplete 4. punt I hope I am not the only one that noticed 2020 was the only year we did not have a lynch calling plays and won a bowl game and mac title..... You forgot, Steele off right guard 2 yards. Steele off left guard 3 yards. Either 4 yard pass, short of sticks or incomplete. Punt.

On Paddock...
Height has nothing to do with it...if you're a winner you're a winner... Especially at this level
Drew Brees Fran Tarkington Johnny Manziel Pre celeb Russel Wilson (covered multiple generations)
I can go on...

On Paddock... Height has nothing to do with it...if your a winner your a winner... Go on and on and list the QBs who are winners who are 6-3 and taller and those 6-2 and shorter. It's harder to be a winner when there is a physical disadvantage.

Of the top ten rated current college qb's, 80% are 6'2" and under.... mic drop.
It's all about the offensive line

I think that might make a big difference. Less than 6' ain't the place for a straight drop back passer.

You listed generational talents who could also move well or had other generational talents on offense with them. Paddock isn’t that.
