For those relying on the SP and local media to promote BSU sports, I opened up the SP today and found NO MENTION of BSU Homecoming FB.
The lead on the sports page was "promotion" and publicity for FB, just not leading with BSU or mentioning the game.
Lead story seemed to be Purdue Wisconsin. A second story featured a Colts tackle, recycled from a few days ago in the Indy Star.

As for the students, not sure how you get them to come to the games. Quite possible most just aren't sports fans. There is some evidence students just aren't that bound to affiliated to BSU. In any case, it sure seems they are not very interested in BSU sports, maybe don't consider it "big time" enough to be interested. HS FB in Indiana isn't that big. You have to admit a big crowd and a big game really is different than what students are seeing here. Not just here, IU FB at a bigger school with big time opponents has never drawn that well.
Some may be sports fans but follow other teams. That' s tough to overcome.
The students do go to the tailgate. They are attracted to social events. And it's not totally weird to think sitting in the stands watching the game is "less fun" than beer in hand at the tailgate, milling around with students, music, and so on.
I'd settle for a lot less than converting students to big fans. So easy to just walk through the turnstile on the way back to campus and give us credit for attendance. Please. How hard is it?
That's my gripe. So you don't care much. At least do that.

I get the idea of being counted, but it would be really nice if we could have fans in stands cheering on the team. I know most on this board support the team, but we need more numbers. It would make for a more exciting atmosphere and probably help the team some as well.

I know it's tough to swap qbs while you are on a bit of a winning streak, but Paddock is terrible.
