Who would have ever thought we would have had a half way decent D too bad they are on the field 90% of the time Yeah and that’s Stockton sharpening up his resume and for sure will be gone this time next year as a result of the much improved defense!

You’re not wrong about clock mgmt. we did the same thing with Plitt, snapping the bal with 5 plus seconds on the play clock late in games that always seemed to leave the opponent with enough time left to cause problems. I don’t know why we do this, especially when protecting a lead. Personally, this is one of those "most obvious" coaching blunders that I see from this staff. We're just flat terrible in those situations. Really can't believe that Plitt nor Paddock haven't taken it on themselves to do a better job with it.

Mike Neu emotional. He wanted this one. Huge win. Keeps our Championship dreams alive for at least 1 more week. Wondering if someone told him his contract was on the line this year and Neu knew that being bowl-eligible would save his ass. He’s got to think one more win in the regular season is possible.

Let’s face it, our team is a maddening rollercoaster of bad/good play/ coaching/penalties. Yeah, but you should have been stoked when we were down 13-0 immediately. Dont you know good football when you see it? And the thing is we were just one slightly overthrown pass by the KS QB for being 20-0 in the first quarter. Nice comeback by our Cardinals!

Fantastic win tonight. Paddock was much better after the first quarter. Defense did a helluva job containing big plays. We certainly got lucky on Kent missing some deep balls, but I’ll take any type of win this late in the season! AND KS missing those 2 very makable FGs and it’s a different game!

Basically we caught the breaks we didn't get against EMU.

I get tired of this player or this coach is gone and won’t be here next year. They are. Here now and will be until they are gone - or maybe not gone. Enjoy the moment! If something happens, it happens. We could lose someone because of injury - Dante Love as an example. I would like to stop the guessing game, makes it had to enjoy the present, which is all we have. Go Cards!

I said there was no way we were as bad as some of the ranking said we were. Most of rankings are put together by some guy living in his mother's basement Give them all the attention they deserve...NONE...GO CARDINALS GO If not for finding an amazing woman who puts up with so much of my bullshit. I could very easily be living in my moms basement. Are you saying I could not make a credible list? Just saying had I made cards would have been in the bottom third. The only team any one got right is most all agreed Akron sucked. The reason BSU was at the bottom was no one knew what we had. We’ve proven to be better

I do not trust many of these lists that are scattered about on the info highway. Most of my posts have said we would have some trouble this year with young players but in order to be better next season ya gotta play 'em...AND when ya play 'em sometimes ya wanna kill 'em and sometimes ya wanna kiss 'em. That is the nature of rebuilding. I knew you didn't live in your mother's basement, she kicked you out years ago!!!!!! Many of the authors of the lists do not have anymore info than I and I live in Texas and the internet. Rob you do a great job and this place would not be the if you left. I LOVE THIS UNIVERSITY...GO CARDINALS GO.

I am happily shocked by the 5 wins at this point, but I still don't think we're very good. I completely underestimated just how bad the MAC would be this year.

I'm more optimistic than most that Steele will return.
My memory is fuzzy but wouldn't he have had opportunities at bigger programs if he was wiling to play something other than RB? Hasn't he always been a bruiser of a runner? He's just not fast. I mean he's fast enough for the MAC (although his longest run until the Kent game was under 30 yards), but he's not Power 5 fast. He's not a home run hitter in the MAC let alone in the Big Ten or ACC.
Now that doesn't mean someone won't drop some cash his in bank account, but if he wants to be THE MAN (or THE MAN OF STEELE), he's only going to get that at a MAC level program, IMO. I think maybe he can have the notoriety or the money, but maybe not both.

Guys thought he would leave last year. He will get his chance at the next level if he continues to produce. That's the big prize, not NIL. I think he stays.
