I have been saying that for years. I watched the second half. It was pretty much unwatchable.

You have to face reality we have Coleman And sparks who are good. Sellers we hope is good then jacobs who is okish. The rest of our roster are turds you can polish them but then their just shiny turds. We play them meaningful minutes at a good school they would barely get off the bench And of those 4 (Coleman, Sparks, Jacobs, and Sellers), Lewis only recruited Coleman and since he is recycled, I don't know how much to credit Lewis on that one. Of the guys Lewis brought in, Cleary (still can't understand why he didn't play today if he wasn't injured), Owens-White (injury but still don't have a feel for how much he will play and help), Bell and Adams, none played today. Did he just get hired too late to recruit anyone who can not only make an impact, but even contribute this season? I think with the transfer portal and getting hired when he did, that's a hard argument to make. Most coaches have that honeymoon period when it's easier to sell their program to recruits. It normally goes downhill after year 3 or so. If this is the best Lewis is at recruiting and building a roster, we're in trouble. If the cavalry is coming next year, who besides Mason Jones is that?

And then everyone seems to like Sellers. This seems like a pretty good top end of a mid-major roster to me. If you can just fill in with four or five decent players who know and play their role, that's all you need to contend in the MAC. It would be a HUGE boost if Ownes-White comes in and makes Bumbalough a bench player, a role that I think Bumb can fill respectably. And Jocobs is decent. Then you just need two or even one out of Pearson/ Cleary/ Windham/Adams to be halfway decent. This all seems fairly plausible to me...not just dumbass fan wishful thinking. If Lewis has a poor year with this roster...that's a bad, bad, BAD sign. Really bad. Especially if he is not obviously recruiting at such a level as to raise the talent level.

Coleman is a turd too. His bathroom just happens to have a lot of perfume.

Didn’t see the game, but you have to think the first few or more games are just giving a view of what we will see later. Feeling things out with this staff. Hate to lose but think it could work in our favor giving the stafff a laundry list of things to fix.

Jacobs has been very good so far! Coleman has been very good and Sparks can be even better!
We need spark from Windham, Sellers, Pearson, and Bum needs to regain some confidence! Even Jihad could contribute! Say what you like about Boogie but without him we lose by more than 20 tonight easily.
I’m a bit surprised Kleary didn’t play at all?! I haven’t given up on this team and I really believe Sellers will help a lot when he gets his rhythm back

Lol we’ve played two games and lost on the road and half of you are doom and glooming already.
This was the first time he’s seen them play against real competition. He will be able to show them film and make adjustments. Long long way to go.

My biggest concern is that we didn’t seem as intense as I was expecting us to look.

My biggest concern is that we didn’t seem as intense as I was expecting us to look. The other thing we don't know yet is how good is Indiana State. Some rankings are putting them about 100 spots better than us. How accurate are those this early in the season? Probably not much, but some folks seem to think highly of the Sycamores. And they also think more highly of BSU now than they did at the end of last season. I don't think we lost to a poorly coached team without talent. So I think it's fair to be critical of how we played today, but I'm not about to write off the whole season because a few losses early. I do expect us to play much better by the time conference season arrives.

I’m not worried just read the media had no access to BSU after the game. I’m hoping this is because Lewis had his leg so far up the teams ass they may never recover. It’s also not whitford so I’m fully prepared to take a couple horrid seasons just to see what happens. If at that point We are still a train wreck I hope the admin is not dumb enough to play the extension game again.

Even though we lost the two guys that led the team in TO's........... we still had 19 tonight. How does that happen? Why don't you just say what you're trying to get at? Okay then. I'm saying nothing has changed, at least in the first game. I know it was only the first game and we still have a ways to go, but that cannot happen.

One thing has changed. On the radio interview Lewis was pissed and it seems as if it was BSU’s idea to can media access after. With Whit we would have got some emotionless coach blabber

Although it's unclear why our past 4 coaches didn't rack up multiple championships over the last 22 years, given that they had they key advantage of so many losses on film to benefit from. This has been a major strength of our program for a long long time. Hopefully Lewis will quickly build up losses to increase the amount of bad play on film

With Whit we would have got some emotionless coach blabber I’m not positive that’s a good change. I get the “show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser” mentality, but as a d1 bball coach you’ve got to have it together enough to talk to the media after games. If they cancelled the press conference because he was immediately coaching up the guys then fine, but if they cancelled it because he was going to act unprofessionally then damn.

Hate to lose but think it could work in our favor giving the stafff a laundry list of things to fix. You know who must have been an incredibly strong team last year? IUPUI. They had quite the laundry list of things to fix from 26 losses. If they had been in the tourney, they would have been a 1 seed.
