Wow! Four games into the season and all this woe? It’s going to take some time for the adjustments and roles to define. I’m sure the players want to win much more than any of us critical fans. Not expecting too much, I just think this team might be a surprise. I agree, my expectation at the start of the season I thought that we would be 2-2 at this point. Road games can be a distraction early in the season. The Omaha game was much better that I was expecting. The ISU game was a disaster, but it looks like they learned from some of their mistakes. I am concerned that the Bahamas trip could be a distraction. Not expecting too much, but the other teams could be distracted too. One win, two losses is what I am expecting. Sparks is going to be double and triple teamed all year. Tough to get used to that, but it looks like he is getting better in how he handles the swarm defense. He is going to have another solid year. Sellers has played great, and should get better. I think having him healthy from the beginning could have resulted in a different result at ISU. He played 31 minutes yesterday. Only foul trouble will reduce his minutes. Coleman is a talented player. He is obviously capable of putting up 30 plus every game. Consistency and defense and he is the player that could carry this team to a really good season. Lewis is a good coach for him. Pearson is playing far better than expectations. Could he be the best sixth man in the MAC by the end of the year? Windham is getting better and could be a solid player in a few games. He obviously should have played more last year. Jacobs is becoming a really solid point guard. His stat line yesterday was solid - 33 minutes, 12 points (5-7), 5 assists, 2 turnovers. I expect his 3 point scoring will improve. Could be really good this year. Nice having Lewis and Meeks to guide him. Basheer is getting there, it may take some time. Can get some playing time by focusing on defense. Bumbalough and Clearly are both "in the Mist". I believe that we thought that Luke's minutes would fade. But he has been lost so far. Cleary certainly has the size and talent, maybe he just needs to find his role. Will we get there? Not sure, but I believe the components of a really good team are starting to come together. Offensive consistency and some defense and these guys could be formidable.

It seemed that there wasn't much offensive movement in the game. There was a lot of 1 ON 1 with 4 players watching. Thought Coach Lewis would use ball movement to improve the offense. Are you sure you weren't watching the Pacers?

No press conference has been uploaded to the BSU all access on youtube. Did Lewis cancel the conference again?

Can't answer the press conference issue, but I can tell you, THE MAN WAS EXTREMELY INTENSE in this game. even more so than the other home games.
Told one of the officials one time that he was just trying to get his team to play f-ing intense.

The press conference was put in the All Access section on the Ball State sports App. It's not on the website. Not sure why it's not both places.

The app did show that beginning next year there will be a MAC/SunBelt basketball challenge with participation and a two game schedule between all MAC and Sun Belt teams. This is a GREAT idea. Need something similar in football.

Need something similar in football. Seems like a good thing. Anything that strengthens our schedule is a positive. Should help recruiting.

Not much screening away from the ball. We might see more movement in other games. We are now inside first and want to drive. But we aren't just standing around outside at least. Good thing is we are moving the ball with passes, not just the dribble. I'm just glad we don't have pick and roll every possession and have a variety of cuts to the basket.

Are you sure you weren't watching the Pacers? I guess you haven't watched the Pacers lately mjtcpa. They have won five games in a row by moving the ball. Our Pt. Guard leads the association in assists and Pt. guard #2 is averaging 8 assists a game. The ISSB game was disappointing, but we won the game----something that seldom happened when we played bad under Whit.
