There are 358 D1 men's teams. Each team with maybe 15 players. That means that of 5370 players, 21% of them are transferring. This can't continue. Untenable. |

The state of college basketball is a dumpster fire, in a train wreck, on the Titanic. The best we can hope for us some level of entertainment and competition amongst other schools at our level. No sense getting attached or even mildly interested in who is wearing the jersey from season to season. This puts an increased emphasis on recruiting. How do you recruit 4-6 players every season?

More upperclassmen this year than next as extra COVID year eligibility disappears. Many transfers are grad transfers. With portal I also would expect fewer red shirts. |

Tulsa men's basketball team has NINE players in portal. Wyoming has 8. |

Lets not forget this is not starting in college. Kids are moving everywhere as early as grade school. Dont like your little league move to another league. Didnt like your aau basketball team just switch. Your 6th grade travel ball team didnt play you enough its time to switch again. Cant play at Delta just go to Wes Del. Play well at Delta move to New Pal. Adversity and Conflict resolution are now solved by running
