per daily news Mitchell declined comment and passed the buck to communications who then also declined to comment In other words, Lewis got an earful after his Tuesday night comments. We know how it works…..

per daily news Mitchell declined comment and passed the buck to communications who then also declined to comment In other words, Lewis got an earful after his Tuesday night comments. Rightfully so. Dirty laundry belongs in the washer, not on camera. Just like leather belongs in the bedroom, not on the dodgeball court.

Just like leather belongs in the bedroom, not on the dodgeball court. Right. But, I'm guessing Lewis had had enough of whatever types of things he's come up against, wasn't getting satisfaction from internal personnel, and figured going public was the only way to get something done. We know how hard it can be to get any action taken at BSU. Doesn't make it right. While I enjoy his honesty, his better play would have been first to have said nothing at all, but since he did, mumble something about "won't comment further, handling in house, blah blah blah" and moved on once he was asked about it. (and again, kudos to the young man who asked the question. Love to see it!)

There fear of being blacklisted is not as much

Standing with the players if it is something they really care about is worth some flack from administration.
If this is going to come out and if it is something serious the administration may actually welcome that somebody said something other than no comment. If it isn't a big deal or it stays in house, it's not much of a problem for anybody.

But after you blow a lead to lose in the last 2 minutes, it just comes across as making excuses.

But after you blow a lead to lose in the last 2 minutes, it just comes across as making excuses. That is definitely how it has been interpreted, but I don't think that's what he was doing. The context of the statement is it was his final statement in the press conference, 8.5 minutes into it, responding to a question that was basically "Worthern was pretty full today, what do you think of the support?" And his response was that community and student support is great but he wishes the administration was more supportive. It's a bad look for him either way, but it's not like he sat down and opened the conference by blaming the loss on the administration.

"well, we just shit away a win, but, hey, lemme tell you about this off the court issue!" If 100% on top of everything, he may not have said anything. Might still have though, if this was a big deal with the team, then he might have said something anyway. Maybe it was more that the issue had been taking up too much of his time, plus he was both frustrated and just plain tired.

He was in a boot a couple of games ago but had it off and was hobbling around at the game on Saturday.

The Pres no longer sits behind our bench. He sits in the courtside seats across from the bench.
