Unless our NIL offerings are much better than people seem to think, I expected us to be a player later in the transfer game rather than earlier.
Doesn't close until May 1. I'd be surprised if we had any commitments before then. Maybe if the staff has a prior relationship with someone, there'd be an earlier move but ...

We'll being picking-up what's leftover after the main NIL money has been spent. There will probably be some kids that had agents who promised to deliver, but then failed as their target university went with someone else for their NIL spending. Those kids will be left hanging and looking for a place to play next season.

There should be under the radar players or players moving up from lower levels who fit our needs. Money not quite the same problem to close a deal there.
The good news is we're shopping for guards, there are a lot out there.
The bad news is every body proven at our level is still optimistic about their market.
mills is right, it's still early for the market to clear.
This reshuffling of rosters every year is damaging enough to so many programs that players are now pushing the limits on the antitrust threats. When this tips over to change the product offered by universities so much, at some point it's a good bet for the NCAA to call their bluff in court, create a rule and defend it.
Something like requiring a two year commitment? Or, defining and raising academic standards, going to integrity of defining it as college sports.
5th year players cashing in isn't a problem, even players like Sparks taking the money to move up.

I’m giving up my football season tickets and will only make it home for homecoming. Basketball, probably never attend a game again. I will probably watch the games on tv. That’s all there is my wheelhouse for this bull shit.

That’s all there is my wheelhouse for this bull shit. I just added to my post above addressing that issue, of whether it hurts the product enough, which depends on fans reaction, like yours. At some point I have no interest in a g-league product, licensing the brand of the University and leasing Worthen Arena as a purely commercial venture. Back in the day AAU BB featured corporate sponsored teams. We're getting to that point now, with the pretense the players are student athletes with affiliation to the University.

IUPUI landing solid recruits. F’ing Lewis sitting on the sidelines. This program is in shambles While we're at it look at those 7 transfers. iupuijags.com/news/2024/4/9/mens-basketball-corsaro-announces-seven-transfers-for-2024-2025-campaign.aspxNote the schools and conferences for the 7. Several from UIndy where the coach is moving up from D2, bringing some players. How many others from lower division schools? How many with proven D1 performance? I'm sure some will be D1 players. I hope our Indy rival bounces back. But, I'll take our roster in a heartbeat.

Keenan Garner is their new commit. He will be great there and would of been great at Ball U

Keenan Garner is their new commit. He will be great there and would of been great at Ball U A good HS player. Top 10 probably in Indiana. A little under the radar. Indy Star says Garner had Division I offers from Eastern Illinois and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, in addition to Indiana Wesleyan, Huntington, Marian, Purdue Northwest and Trinity Christian. Assuming he is a good D1 recruit, I don't think we need him this year and not sure he's "great" exactly, but good young player for Indy who needs some young talent.
